  1. SKY's transfer watch is saying Gradel has handed in a transfer request.... 95% sure he'll go to Leeds - But would LOVE to see him here.
  2. I'm sure a midfielder is on the shopping list. Hopefully Stock.
  3. I'm not sure if this is going to be taken as a positive association, but I've always thought of Barnard as an Ormerod-esque player. Works hard, hassles defenders, and can score at this level. Listen, for 200k, you can't really argue! I'd welcome him onboard.
  4. I'm a fan of Jackson, but I don't think we've had any official link to him at all (Only a report in the one news paper, if i recall correctly). I think it boils down to whether Pards thinks he can do a job for us at a higher level. He's been quoted as saying that he's signed 2 players who he feels can go all the way to the prem with us : Jackson's is going to cost around 1.5m - So unless Pards feels he is TOP class, then I don't think we'll make a move.
  5. I'm 100% certain he wasn't dismissing the deal.... He did say about them being friends, but he also said he wouldn't comment on it. Very good chance of this happening, i feel.
  6. Puncheon's a top player at this level. If we ever lost Lallana, i'd sign him in a heartbeat as his replacement. Good from set pieces too. I think we'd have a chance of getting him unless MK Don's get promoted this season.
  7. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5871102,00.html Would this make a loan move for Vokes more possible?
  8. Not sure - I thought it was that local London website, who's name escapes me at the moment.
  9. If he failed a medical, we just would've come out and said that. Something doesn't quite tie-up. As of Saturday, Pards said on Solent about the player that was elsewhere that wasn't in the team, who could come in and do a job for us. That was obviously Ward. Obviously Cortese pulled the plug for some reason. Did we decide we'd be paying him too much? - It's the only thing I can think of. I don't believe that we thought Seaborne is the better signing.
  10. +1 I thought the same too!
  11. Interesting. Solent got the Ward news correct, but seriously got their Pericard news wrong. We seem to be changing our targets alot at the mo!
  12. I agree, he'd be just what we need. A different dimension up front. Pressure is there all the time, but pressure is always easier to deal with when you have fantastic footballers in your team!
  13. It won't, because Gillingham have already said they'd want more than £1.5m for him.
  14. Whilst he'd be a superb signing, I was hoping you'd actually heard something, FF. Still, this is the 1st sort of 'official' link to him, as opposed to a few of us going on about it on here!
  15. At least he's still at the club!! What on earth do they do with Portsmouth's scenario on the next edition?!?!
  16. Very true, I mean Thomas came in costing around a million pounds. He sits on the bench most weeks, and is probably on around 7k at week. For a bench warmer to be on that wage in league 1 is probably unheard of! - Thing is, he's never going to get offered that by another club, so he'll stay with us until his contract expires. Saga's a massive drain on wages too, then we have the others who just take up minor wages like Pulis, Moly, Holmes etc.
  17. Nothing staggeringly new, but Warnock confirms in the audio link that unless Palace get new investment, then 2 or 3 players will have to be sold. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/crystal_palace/8448729.stm
  18. I think your mate that txt'd you probably reads this forum, amigo!
  19. The only solid link that we got regarding Danns was the fact that we were mentioned it as being interested in him on that local London news site. (The one that broke the Fonte story originally).
  20. I was thinking the same. But after hearing Pards talking post-Fonte signing. I'd say we DEFINITELY want both.
  21. By all accounts, top, top player. Pretty much shouldn't be anywhere near this league so it's a bit a coup, i'd say! I don't think there are too many Palace fans saying "glad he's gone" which is always a sign of quality. I still feel there's room for Ward too. Didn't someone post about Thomas perhaps leaving soon too? Excellent signing by the management. Always good to make signings that can just walk into an already good team.
  22. Didn't think he was tough tackling. I always thought of him as similar to Lallana. Attacking midfielder who can play out wide. (With Danns favouring the right-hand-side)
  23. Holy sh*t! Well that would replace Mellis, and then some
  24. Leeds linked with Barnard today as a potential replacement for Beckford. (Imagine Jackson will be high on their list too)
