Just read up on all your match reports. Sounded a great game. Was REALLY frustrating listening to it on the radio until we scored - We sounded superb, but just could not break them down. Guly sounded fantastic. Sounded like he's found his best position as a link-up man, without the worry of defending, if he was playing as one of a central midfield two. We certainly had a lot of guile in the 1st XI yesterday, with Punch/Lallana/Guly. The bench looked healthy too. Well done boys & bring on Huddersfield. Biggest test of the season.

Richard Hall springs to mind... Really good question actually. You could argue that had Michael Svensson stayed fit, we never would've got relegated. I guess Jamie Redknapp doesn't count.

How the mighty have fallen. He was brilliant for us. I find it crazy to think he has to drop to League 1 to get his career back on track. Be interesting to see how he does.

Just been really pleased with him. He was a welcome appointment, in my view. I'm just delighted the team have picked up under him - It would created much more pressure. He's got some good tools to work with, and he seems to be getting the belief back. Plus, he's trying to change the way we play (which is no easy task). Signs are good, fingers crossed the progress continues.

U-21's and developmental squad are one-and-the-same, I believe. Martin Hunter is the coach.

Agreed. Kakuta would be an amazing loan signing, but he's virtually an ever present on the bench (or seems to be whenever I check) - Josh McEachran would also be a top loan signing, but Ancelotti says he's staying put.

Valid point, wild-saint. Adkins' record of bringing strikers through @ S****horpe: The likes of Beckford, Paterson, Sharp, Hayes & Hooper shows that perhaps NA perhaps won't target a big target man. We need to address the striker situation, because Connolly's injury record is far too dodgy for him to be 3rd choice for the whole season.

Adkins just on solent saying Connolly had a scan in the week on a hip problem, and Barnard's got a problem as well... We are seriously thin on the striker front.

Welcome St.Nigel. Very pleased this has all be concluded. We've totally lost our way and need some leadership & guidance to get us back firing again. Nigel comes across as focused, intelligent and with a track record of playing good football. I'm going to be 100% behind him. Fingers crossed he can work a bit of magic in the loan market. Got to get ourselves some pace. The Radio Solent fans forum can't come quick enough.
