What we ‘need’ is a change of formation and rapid. We are always outnumbered in midfield and Ralph seems blind to it…

This fella looks good but wouldn’t fit into Ralph’s square pass/back pass tactics unfortunately… Mind you Ralph is an excellent coach apparently and would soon bring him into line as he has done with many players now!

Or actually it was Ralph’s set up ? In which case he is culpable. It is hard to understand how Ralph would have had no bearing at all on the personnel and methods of the coaching set up for the first team. If that was the case then Siemens should go; if not then Ralph has to take responsibility and he should go too. Sacking three coaches and letting the people they served under off is just a little bit odd. Scapegoats or what………. It’s like a naval frigate goes on the rocks and they make an able seaman walk the plank for it….

Why is it that most fans on here want to play the same formation as Ralph most often plays? If we don’t flood the midfield like most other teams do we will not control the game, will not protect the back four/two and will continue to lose possession too easily. Yes our players are not world class but we have to give them a chance. Our two up front, plus our wing backs and others too far advanced is causing us too much pain, we spend most games chasing the ball and wearing ourselves out for nothing. Last night was actually a welcome change in some respects though we executed the idea poorly with a mess of personnel selection and no pushing up at all. The concept of keeping things a lot tighter is a direction we have to travel in for Ralph’s normal 2 2 6 formation is a waste of time and will get us relegated. We are not good enough to play two up front !

It is excruciating to watch these - not long throw ins…. Our coaches don’t even seem capable of teaching how to execute a real long throw in . It’s disturbing how inept we have become even with this simple ‘tactic’ What planet are our executive management on to continue to accept this amateur pub league coaching…..

Not a Ralph fan at all but slinging two strikers on is how we played all year - CRAP! Two strikers is NOT the answer. Coaching, organisation and energy are however. Ralph’s teams do not benefit from any of those. We must concentrate on keeping the ball and controlling games, two up front will NOT cut that! It leaves us too light in midfield.

And why is Liverpool different to the rest of the country? There is also an awful lot of wealth in Liverpool too. Yes I have been there lots of times. Liverpool is not a special case.

Most of all we need to change our formation/set up. Without that new players will not make much difference. Whoever they are..

At last someone else has noticed that Ralph does not improve players, indeed your list is accurate.

We rarely do well with two up front either….. Which actually equates to 5 at least most of the time.. No midfield equals crap football….

How motivating ….. I take it therefore that Ralph has submitted a blueprint to change his formation because if not this support would be ludicrous….

I am not a Ralph fan, however it is two up front plus fullbacks and the ‘10’ s too far advanced which is killing us. Ralphs tactics leave us wide open, often with just two centre backs to defend with and no protection.

No player should be allowed to leave Staplewood before 10.00 at night until they can bloody kick with both feet - Fundamental…. Ralph should not be leaving Staplewood until he fully understands the concept of a midfield which are not always 50 yards ahead of the ball…. Plus the concept of playing a game without six up front… He seems just clueless…
