Hello Mr Angry person who doesn't 'read' posts. I quite plainly do not offer or employ excuses I offer comment to back up a previous post. Those that bury heads in sand will continue to complain that every person old enough to walk doesn't go to St Mary's every single time the doors are open. Please offer arguments for or against with evidence to back up your rather drab rude replies but do try to resist replying to posts you haven't bothered to read properly.

Very good points. The biggest for me is the lack of information coming from the club. The marketing is truely appalling and has been for a while now. Being a casual visitor I am one that would be there more often if I didn't think it's always going to be sold out. Ticket info on the web site is hard to find or was the last time I wasted 30mins if my life trawling it... After all mostly unless you pay you can't access the site either which is a very strange marketing parody. I would guess with far better communication from the club on ticket availability there would less empty seats....

Post Match Reaction & MotM: SAINTS 1-1 Sunderland
captainchris replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Have to agree with this comment. We only play through the D. I think there is a lot of 'hype' on here about how 'well' we played when effect Sunderland were quite comfortable until a set piece undid them. Our open play was not that threatening and quite predictable. As we now don't have wide men at all unless you include AL and JR Then how do we change the flow the game? How do we get in behind? Summary: Good possession, Osvaldo looks classy, A draw was a bit fortunate in the end based on how the game went - not the possession we had... We need a pacey wide man to have an impact. Jay Rod struggled and just looks a bit short in this league..... -
Sunderland know we are playing through the D all the game and it's relatively easy to defend...... And predictable.... These are games where we need a wide alternative and we have none.

Did Rimirez go off again? Anonymous or what!
-
Not sure if we are not giving away some midfield comfort with Rimirez on... Rodriquez off would have been better...
-
Underrated in my opinion.....
-
Fox was clearly as carp last year as he was the year before so last year was no freak of bad luck......
-
B, C, D. 'A' is not remotely an option...

Rickie Lambert called up for England

Great news a far better player than Wellbeck anyway.... -
Agree about Holloway teams and Redknap's teams and whilst some might not agree Newcastle too as don't rate Pardew.....
-
Any way our brown envelopes are not bid enough for Redknapp !!!!!!!!!!! Obviously for the Dog not for him as he can't send emails open bank accounts, read, write, or manage Tottenham evidently and allegedly !
-
One word 'rubbish' Almost anyone would be an improvement on Fox and it would not be difficult to find anyone to come and compete for a place at Saints. After all Most positions are covered and most by players who have been bought at some stage and all are better than Fox. So let's not hear this very false inaccurate rubbish any more. Why we haven't 'covered' Shaw with a reasonable back up is a mystery unless we feel that our youth will come through quickly. Anyway it is not 'backup' these days it's to share the role because you have to rotate and so it's not as though a new guy would be permanently on the bench.... Get a life, there are loads of players who would jump at the chance to replacing Fox...... Much better players than Fox too! My God Mark Dennis would do better even now!

Very accurate assumption - you did bore me senseless !

PRE-SEASON: Schalke 04 vs Southampton - (18:00 KO)
captainchris replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
We have never played well with Fox in the team.... Why did GAzzaniga feel the need to pass to his defenders by chipping the ball at head height to them? -

Laughable -
Which teams will improve or decline compared to last year....
captainchris replied to Olallana's topic in The Saints
A great idea for a thread and agree with your assessment completely... Pardew may find life difficult this season...... -
The Saints Squad as it now stands... where are the gaps?
captainchris replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
So where is your full back cover? All the other areas have a degree of cover? -
The Saints Squad as it now stands... where are the gaps?
captainchris replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
Full back hardly get a mention in any rumours of who we are interested in and yet on paper this is where we are most short of credible alternatives. Why Fox is out on tour with the first team is totally beyond me. He must be related to someone at the club! So though we need strengthening in other areas, for me it's full back where we need to prioritise. -
Thanks to Saints fans from Ron Davies's sister
captainchris replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Just have to say that no one gave me more pleasure to watch than Ron Davies. That team were so entertaining but big Ron was just such a great player. Watching him from the Boys Chocolate Box will stay with me for ever..... Just Class....... -
A very good player unlucky to be given the 'heave ho' . Always enjoyed watching him .
-
Yes but if we are successful this year the reserve left back will probably need to play 10 games or so. Also if Shaw gets injured God forbid we are in deep do do. We need a very decent reserve left back. Also Shaw may lose form and what then? Also Shaw needs competition or his desire may drop a little.
-
That is a rediculous assumption. He was nowhere near that level.... He was poor there too however we were not - as you would expect, punished quite so often for his obvious lack of talent in that league. Though we were punished several times even in that league ! Fox is a very long way short even as a back up. Consider also that we probably overused Shaw last season and we don't want to do that this year. These days in the premier league your 'backup' needs to be almost on a par with your first choice and playing quite a few games. Fox is definately not that player. If you cannot see that he doesnt notice what is going on around him in a game that's fine but I and many others do notice and worse still the opposition notice and flood down our left every time he is on the pitch because they ALL know how poor he is.......
-
Very well put indeed...
-
'Any excuse' how many would you like? Doesn't close down, can't mark, always out of position, can't see his team mates around him, never links up with the left side midfielder - never sees him! No particular pace, can't tackle - in summary almost totally useless in any league above a Sunday pub league.....
