  1. Who is the most famous Pompey Poly graduate? Is he/she as thick as Guided Missile??
  2. I agree. The other benefit from a longer delay is that the longer the delay, the more chance the public have to learn about the shambles of this government. Cracks are already beginning to appear in the Cabinet as the "vegetables" object to Dom and Dommer. These cracks are not going to get any smaller with time. Above all there will be more PMQ's and the chance to see Johnson's bluster and obfuscation in the Commons. His performance is quite cringeworthy. It certainly is amazing to see Corbyn look statesmanlike in comparison!!
  3. I have tried to message you but apparently your account cannot accept private messages. You can hopefully send me one if you go to Private Messages on the top left hand side of the forum banner.
  4. I have 2 spare tickets for next Tuesday's international. PM me if interested.
  5. Johnson's record is played 3, lost 3. Not what most people would call "a blinder." Clearly Pompey Poly graduates do see things differently from most people.
  6. .... you must be wrong. GM told us that Johnson was playing a blinder. Pompey Poly graduates are always correct.
  7. A government declaring no confidence in itself is not a good look.
  8. 26. Got one of the lower league clubs but missed a couple of the obvious ones plus one other lower league club.
  9. Perhaps Johnson 's biggest problem is that he is a born liar. Very few trust him or believe what he says. His career has been tainted by sackings for lying. His personal life is a mess due to his infidelities and lies. This means that he is not trusted. Even if he is now telling the truth and negotiations are proceeding well with the EU, he is not believed. Nobody trusts him not to switch the date of an election until after 31 October, even though he denies that this is in his plans. Theresa May was incompetent but at least her honesty was very rarely questioned. This bloke will ultimately be brought down by his dishonesty.
  10. It's funny how he hasn't published one of his graphs showing the movement of the pound.
  11. ... and his grammar bears an uncanny resemblance to that of other posters on here.
  12. Do you still think that we will "clearly" get relegated this year ?
  13. Good idea. I am sure that Shurlock would like it.
  14. Matt and Joseph Mills: ‘Our parents can drive to the same ground now’ https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/27/matt-joseph-mills-forest-green-rovers-interview-bournemouth-carabao-cup?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_ An interesting read. Matt Mills's move to Man City was controversial at the time. It never really worked out for him. The "Callum Chambers" of 2005 ????
  15. I agree. I remember his debut at Palace and then compare it to his display at West Ham at the end of last season.Something went very wrong.
  16. Getting really desperate now for bites.
  17. Getting even more extreme in order to get a bite. Watching the descent into self parody is quite sweet.
  18. I have a spare ticket for the first day of the Old Trafford test on Wednesday 4 September. Looking for face value (£100) plus any postage costs.
  19. Not sure that I agree about Long and Armstrong. They are certainly fast but whenever we cleared the ball to the front two it seemed to come back into our half much quicker than I wanted.
  20. That incident was right in front of me. No way was it handball The worrying thing is that the lino was even closer to the "handball" and didn't correct the ref. Overall very pleased with the point. Thought that Boufal played well and that we lost our attacking edge once he was substituted. Having a front 2 for the last 15 plus minutes of Long and Armstrong did invite United onto us. Fortunately the days of conceding in the last 5 minutes seem to have gone.
  21. You are being really provocative now. You are losing your touch ? Are you getting that desperate for bites? As you dislike this forum so much why not leave us ???
  22. 174 days since we played anyone in the top six who wasn't Liverpool.
  23. Rudd thought that the idea of proroguing Parliament was a "ridiculous" suggestion only a couple of months ago. In June Hancock thought that proroguing Parliament would "disrespect the war dead". They are now apparently going along with this idea .... even though Johnson only consulted 2 cabinet ministers (not them) before making his announcement. The ministerial cars and Cabinet perks clearly appeal to them at the moment but I wonder what will happen when people like Rudd and Hancock and other members of the Cabinet wake up and realise that they are just Dominic Cummings's stooges. When the No Deal "bumps in the road" start to derail things I suspect that the Johnson cabinet will start to splinter.... if it ever gets that far. At least Ruth Davidson has some principles which she stands by.
  24. I wonder how long the likes of Rudd and Hancock will be able to stay in this government. There is surely a limit as to how long they can hold their noses and go back on their previous announcements. Or are they so keen to climb the greasy pole of government that they will happily give up all their previous principles?
  25. Too bloody right !!
