  1. Excellent as always. In a morbid sort of way I enjoyed reading that. Reminds me what a ****house VVD was at the start of the season. The sad thing is he is currently having the last laugh and his ****housery is being rewarded. Ah well. Let's hope next season brings karma.
  2. Kew gardens is very convenient. Just off the a3. Nice area so no vandalism. Free to park after noon. Both district line and Overground go from there.
  3. Wait until Saturday night. That is when Hammond normally starts to drink.
  4. I can echo this. I saw Norfic's post a few weeks ago and started on the station series. I am currently halfway through the third one and am finding them engrossing. Thanks Nordic for your recommendation.
  5. I lost 20. Was going to receive 300 if we went down. Could have cashed out for 180 before Bournemouth and 130 before Swansea. Never been so delighted to lose a bet. Mind you I would have received 200 for the fiver I put on for us to finish in the top half after Hughes got appointed. Would have loved to have received for that bet.
  6. MLG - you have a reputation of being a pedant which I think is unfair. I enjoy your posts. I however will out pedant you as in fact if we win tonight by 1 goal , Swamsea will require a final day goal swing of 10 goals. We have scored more goals than Swansea so if the goal differences were to be the same we would stay up.
  7. Perhaps it is a blessing that the team are staying away from Swansea. It would be bad if the team went down with a mystery tummy virus just before kick off as happened to Spurs a few years ago before a big match. Knowing the animosity between Swansea and Cardiff it is probably much safer for our team to eat food ptepared by Cardiff fans than Swansea fans.
  8. Can't you get some happy pills or something ?? According to the pre match thread you think we are "Crap. Very crap." You would be amazed if we managed to get a point. Do you have no faith in the team you claim to support??
  9. ..... and a pretty s hit one as well.
  10. So do you mean to say that when we "took back control" we failed to take control of the weather ??
  11. I am a season ticket holder. I missed Leicester at home last season (transport issues) and WBA (holiday) at home this season. God only knows why I continue but I am sure that next season I will be renewing 2 tickets in whatever division we pls.
  12. Improve his golf handicap????
  13. The answer is no and I would suggest that you raise this topic most weeks - not annually. Lol.
  14. That's a good omen for today. In the same way that Mr. Cheerful was wrong about Spurs let's hope that he is wrong about us in the semi. He has been full of doom and gloom about our chances against Chelsea. COYS
  15. I would suggest that another drab season in the Premiership would be much better than a drab season in the Championship. We had plenty of those between 2005 and 2009. ..... and if Callum Slattery, Alfie Jones , Sam Gallagher or any of the other youngsters prove to be any good it will be so annoying to see them picked up by the likes of Brighton , Huddersfield or Bournemouth in the way that Baird and Surman left us.
  16. Oh the championship will be so much fun. Who wants foreign mercenaries like Mane playing for them when they can get mercenaries like Hajto and Licka. It is galling when home grown talent like multi capped England players like Lallana join Champion League teams like Liverpool. Wait until home grown players like Chris Baird get snapped up by the likes of Fulham. Our last championship season was great fun. Even more so with rose tinted glasses. Our previous 4 championship seasons were complete s hyte. Unless we can find another Markus prepared to substantially invest in the team we risk being another so called big club in the championship along with the likes of Villa , Forest , Derby , Leeds etc etc
  17. His latest " gaffe" about Porton Down shows how dangerous the man is. His intervention in the case of that poor woman in prison in Iran was disastrous. The New Statesman may be biased but can anybody seriously dispute the errors that Boris has made ??
  18. Thank God for that. 2 or more Alpine Saints posting on this board would be unbearable .
  19. I used to work with an Arsenal fan. He had had a season ticket at Highbury and often referred to "The Invincibles" from that season when they never got beaten. Football for him was one long struggle. It was no fun supporting a big club. "So what that Arsenal had won the FA Cup . It wasn't the League." "So what that they had won their Champions League group. They were bound to get knocked out in the next round. " Man U fans are not happy at the moment. Out of the Champions League and no hope of winning a trophy this season. Next week they will watch their City rivals win the League by beating them. They are not a happy bunch. Sport often ends in disappointment . There is no guarantee that supporting a big club will make you happy. Get your grandkids supporting the Saints. They will enjoy it more.
  20. It is highly likely that England WILL be going. Prince William and other dignatories may not but the team will.
  21. Honeymoon in Thailand that weekend. Suppose that I could change the wedding. :-)
  22. I will be in Thailand on my honeymoon. I will have had more weddings than Saints have had FA Cup semi finals since 1986. Just my luck to miss this one ... and it will be at Wembley !! The time difference will be a killer if it is a 5.30 kick off.
  23. Thanks. I have just booked as well using them. My h better to have somewhere to go to rather than drive round looking for places to park.
  24. Load of ******** and brain dead were phrases that you used. You then get precious when someone calls you a cretin. Hypochondriac??? More like schizophrenic if you ask me.
  25. I posted something yesterdaybwhich got nothing but abuse from you. Don't give it if you can't take it you princess.
