Andrew Rawnsley's article below is definitely thought provoking. Are we about to see the end of the two party system? https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/feb/10/why-the-sickly-ugly-sisters-of-our-politics-deserve-to-suffer-the-splits? The ERG are proving that they are a party within a party. They demonstrate a great unity and discipline. They are united at the moment in their Brexit ambitions but once this is completed will they just drift apart or will they stay united? Their views on economic issues seem the same. What is to stop them getting behind another issue ? Eg The restoration of the death penalty? A split in Labour ranks has been on the cards for ages. Rumours are that a Labour split is just round the corner and if it had not been for the 2017 election and Jez's apparent popularity. I really cannot decide what will happen. I lived through the SDP split from Labour in the '80's and I still think that the odds on the 2 party system being demolished are pretty long. Nevertheless the next couple of years could well see big changes in the British political landscape.

You may well be a grade 1 arrogant c nut but very occasionally you make excellent comments!!
-
Really ?? You clearly have limited abilities and can prove that you can quote other posters. Wow! If qualifications in cutting and pasting had existed perhaps you would not have flunked your A levels and could have studied somewhere better than Pompey Polytechnic. Do you have any views on the ineptitude of Dr Fox or are you going to pretend that I am on ignore?
-
I suppose you are right. Last year we sold £6 million of exports to the Faroe Islands. That may seem a lot to tin pot companies selling poison in Fareham but deals like this are not going to keep the British economy going. Put me back on ignore as you just make yourself look even more foolish
-
Yes. It is like how football transfer deals cannot take place until the transfer window opens but deals are arranged so the transfer occurs as soon as the window opens. Fox promised that up to 40 trade deals would be ready and put in place 1 second after we left the EU. I suppose that "up to 40 trade deals" is what he is achieving.... as 4 is "up to 40" lol but it does show that the incompetent buffoon's mouth is far greater than his ability.
-
According to Liam Fox there were going to be up to 40 trade deals agreed and ready to be implemented as soon as we left the EU. It was his job to implement them and he had nearly 3 years to achieve this. With 6 weeks to go he has agreed just 4 deals... one of which is with the economic giant of the Faroe Islands! If this wasn't so serious it would be laughable. Fox like David Davis, Boris Johnson and Failing Grayling is another leading Brexiteer who is finding that real life is not as he imagined it. It is just a pity that so many people have believed the Brexit fantasies of these chumps. It is not all bad news however. One of the 4 trade deals is with Switzerland and Lietchtenstein. Lietchtenstein is the world's largest supplier of false teeth with 20% coming from there.... so most Brexiteers will be ok after Brexit!!!

We had 9 points after 15 matches this season. At that rate we would have ended up with 22 points when the season was over. Under Ralf we have earned 15 points after 11 games and already have 24 points. Under Ralf we have mid table form .... under Hughes we had nailed on relegation form - FACT.
-
.... but is the main reason why we are up s hit creek at the moment ffs
-
I don't recall him saying that and unless we spectacularly imwe between now and the end of the season I dont think that many on here would blame him if we went down. Hughes has a lot to answer for.
-
Nail hit on head.
-
Agree with this.
-
But to be fair you seem to call anybody who doesn't agree with you a leftie. You called me a leftie (never voted for a left wing party in my life) and presumably life long Tories like Kenneth Clarke are Socialists in your eyes because they want to Remain.
-
If it had been one of our players who had died I imagine the misery guts on here would explain how the death had such an effect on our players that we couldn't possibly win. Batman would probably start a thread saying that we would never win again ... ever.
-
Presumably his perceived negativity was also behind his omission from Southgate's world cup squad.

Callum Slattery - Official: Signs for Motherwell
Tamesaint replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
If we are in deep poo, I would suggest that is because at the beginning of December we had a handful of points. It is nothing to do with not replacing a right back who did not start any match under Ralf. What a right back replacement has to do with a 19 year old midfield debutante God (and Batman) only knows. The subject of a Cedric replacement is becoming an obsession for you. Get over it !! -
An interesting read. The published fee was £15 million yet the total cost to Cardiff after agents had their cut was £30 million. Amazing !
-
You've been quiet this weekend mate. Thought you would have had more to say about Saints although I suppose you have been busy trolling the Everton boards
-
Jihadi John flunked his A levels didn't you know? He couldn't get into a proper university and ended up at Pompey Polytechnic
-
Still don't understand what Venezuela has to do with Brexit. Are Nissan moving their jobs there from Sunderland ?
-
There is a separate thread on Venezuela. I suspect that the old boy has been drinking again and has got confused - hic.
-
I agree and said so on the much thread. He was clearly swearing at the officials in a longer rant than Zaha the other night. I think that he got booked for the rant rather than for diving.
-
A good intellectually based argument that sums up in one word the Brexiteers's case.
-
Yes their mouthing off at every decision against them is tiresome. Barnes 's reaction when he ran into McCarthy and didn't get the penalty was worse than Zaha on Wednesday night.
-
What's your view ? Or are you more interested in Arsenal's result ?
-
1 all. Would be happy with a point.
