  1. I always find it amusing when people on the right wing accuse the BBC of left wing bias. They cite Guardian reading journalists and other supposed bias. People on the left accuse it of right wing bias citing examples of removal of the laughter at Johnson at the leaders's debate and doctoring of the video of Johnson at the Cenotaph. I tend to think that if both the right wing and the left wing consider the BBC to be biased towards their opponents, then the BBC are probably doing things right and are not biased.
  2. Good post. I intend to vote Lib Dem (or is it Lib Dumb as that seems to be their name for several on here). Negative points Leader lacks gravitas. Full of good ideas. Not sure that they have the capability of delivering them even if they were in a position of doing so. Their Brexit strategy is muddled. They are very keen to denounce Brexit but they should be doing much more to unite the Remain vote. I still intend to vote for them but despair at the lack of choice compared with previous elections.
  3. Wait for the usual suspects to come on here and rubbish this.
  4. ...and Jonathan Miller.
  5. I don't believe you. You claim to have lumped on Silva to be next manager sacked a few weeks ago. MoPo then left so you lost your money. #loser

  7. If opinion polls are correct the Conservatives are likely to win a reasonable majority. I would say however that this is because of the poor state of the opposition rather than any desire of the country to support the right wing cult or indeed Brexit. Under Corbyn the Labour party is becoming a political movement rather than a party capable of Government. A Blair/ David Miliband leader would make mincemeat of the bumbling Johnson at an election. Anyway we are jumping the gun a little. Voting has not yet happened and polls are often wrong. We are told that local factors will play a big part in this election.Let us wait and see.
  8. If he is so "wet" why do we see the likes of Raab and Patel in the key roles of government? It certainly is not for their intellect. Why do the likes of Clarke and countless others no longer feel at home in the Conservative party? Anyone who follows politics will know that the Conservatives ultimately lose power once they stop being the party of one nation and start to resemble a right wing cult.
  9. What are you on about?? Johnson has only been in government for 5 minutes ... and those were spent in Parliamentary recess and him losing votes in Parliament. Ask about the difference between Javid and other chancellors once they have got their feet under the table. #fruitcake
  10. She was also a firm advocate of the customs union.
  11. This is right (what is wrong with me - I keep agreeing with Batman !!). It shows what can happen to a political party once the extremists get hold of the steering wheel. The sad thing is that the same could easily happen / is happening to the Tories. Johnson's talk of "one nation Conservatism " is a joke as he leads his current bunch of right wing loonies. If they were to lose this election or the next one , God help the Conservative party which is currently infiltrated by the UKIP fruitcakes. They could easily become the unelectable opposition.
  12. Rightly or wrongly, British politics is adversial in nature. Compare the layout of the House of Commons with the semi circle approach of overseas Parliaments. How often do you hear one side congratulating the other - even when they steal each others's policies? I think what you see on here reflects British politics for good or for bad.
  13. I often disagree with your views but this time you have hit the nail on the head about what is wrong with the Labour campaign. As you say it is almost as if it is wrong to be rich. Most people are not rich, however that is defined, but they aspire to be rich. Aspiration should not be killed off. If Labour comes over as the party that rewards high achievers with higher taxes they will turn off more people than they turn on. The saddest thing about this election is that Labour's ineptitude means that the Tories just need to play a safe hand, keep Johnson from making too many cock ups and lock up the weirdos like JRM and they will stroll to victory. Johnson can continue to lie and tell people what they want to hear rather than the truth and they will walk it.
  14. He was the one Cabinet member who didn't turn up at the manifesto launch. Even the Conservative party are ashamed of him and have to keep him hidden.
  15. Makes me wonder why you support Saints.
  16. The match thread and much of this thread are hilarious. Each one of our players is rubbish and our manager needs to FO. The MOM according to the BBC is complete gash and we are already relegated.... yet we out played Arsenal away from home. It is almost like reading Pompey On Line.
  17. I see. So when we were drawing 1 all and you suggested in the match thread that we should get the insurance bets on for Saints to lose , you didn't bother to bet yourself. .... and when a couple of weeks ago you lumped on Silva to be the next manager to be sacked , you didn't actually place any cash. .... and when you say you put insurance bets on Pompey to get promoted each year you only bet with monopoly money. I may be a bit of a cynic, my old fat friend, but I think that you are full of s hyte.
  18. Reading the bile that he has come out with this morning I am not surprised. I bet he is fun at parties.... unless of course he is the entertainment thay people are expected to laugh at.
  19. I agree with much of this. Unfortunately for them they do not seem to have politicians with the appeal and gravitas of Kennedy, Clegg or Ashdown in their ranks these days. I also think, as said by somebody above, that they are too apologetic abiut their part in the coalition. They were junior partners but took huge amounts of flak for student loans. They don't take credit for good things that they did. What good things did they do?? I have little idea -partly because they don't mention them! I do know however that Steve Webb the pensions minister and a lib dem did introduce some much needed reforms into the pension scheme. I am at an age which has meant that I have been able to benefit immensely from them. Given another term in office I am sure that he would have done more. He lost his seat in 2015, received a knighthood and I guess is probably earning shed loads more money in private industry.
  20. Probably why they are anti Johnson. Has he ever said how many kids he has fathered??
  21. Of course. The swamp has to be drained of all flat chested chicks.
  22. I will reply for him. Pony. The Electoral Commission is full of pinkoes and the people we have drained out of the swamp. Ignore what they say. Get an ID system in place and insist that chicks reveal their breast size. Only chicks with big talents should be allowed to vote.
  23. Lol!! When my son was 8 years old and couldn't admit that he was wrong he would throw a tantrum to change the argument and end it with a hollow threat. It used to be quite amusing . This beats anything he could come up with.
