It is Les Reed's name not Les Reeds name, if you must be correct
-
Thank goodness our days of sweeping up left-overs are gone, hopefully for ever. Remember Idiakez and that centre half 'Arry brought in and that fellow beginning with Q, Quish or something, thanks Markus and everyone else who has helped put that nightmare behind us
-
I am happier on 'Judgement Day' than I expected or dared hope after the exodus and although I don't know Les Reed and might not recognise him if I saw him he must share some praise and credit with the manager in spite of all the abuse he gets. Has anyone noticed that we will be sending ELEVEN players on international duty (I think) and for eleven different countries, surely that must be some sort of record?
-
The club has made its feeling known over Taider and I wouldn't be surprised if Gaston comes in the same category
-
The club statement sounds harsh but it may achieve two things: help him to realise he is a professional and has to keep standards to earn his money and it should let any Saints wannabee know not to mess with Koeman. Win-win
-
Did a great job for us when it really mattered and helped get us where we are. good luck Jos and thanks!
-
Forget the anti Pompey stuff, its out of date--who are they? Its Spurs and L'pool i wish ill, with good reason
-
Spurs will only let us have rejects and Townsend is a reject. No deal please
-
Much better than Mark Hughes who doesn't have the man management that Koeman seems to have
-
Don't trust these last minute buys, but I still hope we get one, someone to put the ball in the net
-
McGoldrick was not dealt a fair hand with us, he was put in the team at 18 when all around him was collapsing, three chairmen in one season, managers changing, the club financially broken and suffering its own civil war, breakdown of discipline among the players. the result was that he looked gash and was gash but if he's with a well organised club he may do well: good luck to him.

Sometimes people don't want to stay in their job, quite often in fact, but they have to stay, why should a footballer be the exception? They think they can win if they throw a tantrum 'O we mustn't upset him'. We've held Morgan to contract but it was locking the door after the crown jewels had been nicked
-
Couldn't have put it better myself!
-
It's not funny for Clyne who deserves better, shows why we lose players to the top few
-
If Jos goes, good luck to him, he's been a big part of the promotion years. Lallana and others went for their benefit and gave us the two fingers and who cares what happens to them next, I don't, but Jos I wish the best (as long as he doesn't keep Burnley up at our expense)
-
I don't think we did get good money for him, Arsenal are going to get 12-14 years out of him. Anyway it shows what it does to belong to the big 4 and why if Clyne wants to go next I will understand --IK'll be even more angry, not with him but the system
-
Townsend is not even going to be in Spurs squad, he is over rated, not what we want at all.
-
Gaston is the new Charlie George, fans with long memories will remember his injured finger and other mishaps
-
Who ever we sign he needs to be young so that the skill and the value both go up as with Lovren, Morgan, JRod, Clyne, these were good buys whether they stay with us or move on but once we start buying 26+ neither the performance nor the value rise
-
1 week to go, will Kruger, Koeman n Ko stick to their word?
Dellman replied to Saint IQ's topic in The Saints
No way will manager and chairman renege on their word and we don't want Townsend that much anyway, another winger is lined up so expect good news soon..all imho of course -
The biggest change is that we now sign older players-Pelle is 29-they wont gain in value and probably not in skill which is a lose-lose situation. When we were buying young -Morgan, JRod, Big Vic, Clyne- both the skill and the value increases so that we are in a win-win situation.
-
Yep, big Vic would be the biggest loss of all and I can see it happening before long
-
Townsend will never get near Spurs team under Poch, head down and run wingers do not fit poch style, he will be well down the pecking order. Spurs know it and he knows it
-
s or z who cares, the point is he is the one new face that gives me confidence we are trying to build for the future
-
JWP for England? Not yet, but Clyne compared with that World Cup clown rb should be a shoe in, I doubt we will hold him then. Can't we ban Roy's lot from the ground or make them pay or something
