  1. Now that we've replaced them very well indeed, no point in having them back. but I have to admit i didn't want them to go, they were lovely to watch and they were our own which is why we feel there was such disloyalty, but who wouldn't go for those wages? Anyway I would have Chambers back but only to be cover for Clyne who is the star Hodgson overlooked. good job he did overlook him, or he would be gone as well.
  2. Walcott left when the club was going nowhere except down and heading for bankruptcy, there was no future for him with us, he needed to go, I understood that (sadly) even at the time. When Oxlade left we were on the rise and he could have had a future with us but he was a lad under Dad's ambitious control, so I don't blame him either. But Chambers did it just for money and ambition, he could have got to the top with us. But it turns out we are better without any of them COYR
  3. The good thing is we are now better off without him-and all the others- so we can move on and lol
  4. After tonight I reckon we'll sell a few more players, Spurs and the Arse are going to fight over Clyne and Morgan, it will be another dodgy January

    Oh dear Poch

It is rather a laugh but too early to gloat, we can just hope for more of the same
  6. MLT saved us on the pitch, three years running, Nicola saved us off the pitch and set up where we are.Two heroes, thanks to both, now drop the pettiness and show your appreciation, Matt
  7. MLT off the pitch behaves like a baby, such a shame
  8. our new team has gelled more quickly than Liverpool's because our engine room, the midfield, has retained Big Vic, Morgan and Corky, it's the envy of the Premiership. Of course top clubs are going to want parts of it. As long as our new 'no sell' policy keeps the engine room together we will be ok...and if the Arse spent £50m (?) on Ozil, double it for Big Vic--or Morgan

    Sadio Mane

Maybe he saw the show against Toon and thought he would never get in the team especially with JRod still to come back
  10. Most grounds have at least one stand named after a key person in the club history, we haven't. I know we have a Channon suite and one for Terry Paine but would a Markus Liebherr stand be in order?
  11. Presumably he is out to make room for Tahir. Do fans think it a good idea to bring in an outsider for a couple of games, strikes me as a blow for the guy who has played all season, got us to the promotion spot only to be axed. Wont surprise me if it has a bad affect on the team ethic
  12. Suddenly we have a strong squad with the likes of JWP, Boruc and even Big Vic warming the bench at times and that's before JRod comes back or Sadio Mane starts cracking them in. Must be a bit discouraging for Gallagher, Reed and Isgrove and looks like Gardos amy not hold a place either. This tells me we should keep ahead of the also rans and 6th is not beyond us, results like Sawnsea next week will give a good indicator whether I am right or wrong: 6th for me!
  13. If we end higher than Spurs (not impossible) maybe Morgan will lose interest in them, I think bigger clubs will come in for him, it would be hard to refuse PSG for example. But he should cost anyone £40m and more than that if he keeps goalscoring as well
  14. Not only with MLT, if you go back far enough, also with Charlie Wayman.
  15. I don't believe Kruguer 'oversaw' the window, he was in Canada all summer. Neither do I believe he changed direction to stop Morgan and Jay leaving. I think it was Koeman who put his foot down and said 'that's enough' and that the chairman then backed the manager. Good teamwork in a way--appoint a top manager and then back him. If that continues we should be very happy. As someone said--look at Hull or Fulham or Leeds, and be thankful
  16. Leave Cortese out of it.
  17. I feel sure he will go,hope I'm wrong, but if he does go he should fetch more than any of the summer sales, way ahead of Shaw, so the bidding should start at £30million--hope he stays!

    SUI vs ENG

    No, not a hope
  19. More to come please! Morgan will slip those balls through, looking forward to Sarturday COYR
  20. Fergie would have whipped him into shape, he wouldn't have performed for Moyes, now we wait to see whether Van Gal offers stick or carrot, he needs stick
  21. As a business the key was to buy young players who improve and sell at a profit, give credit to NC for that. Their replacements are older and so when they move on the profit margin will be smaller and in some cases it would be a loss so in business terms we are unlikely to ever again have such a profitable set of sales.
  22. If our sales increased our income by £92million, does that increase our capacity so that we can pay much higher wages before we reach 52% of income?
  23. Our players are now from Poland, Serbia, Belgium,Bulgaria, Japan, Senegal, France, Kenya and N. Ireland, so Roy won't be getting near them
