Thank you Les, you've earned respect the hard way and saved the situation

Another De Ridder?
-
God save us from Benali's opinions

MLT is not the only one who stuck with us, Terry Paine stayed until LMcM gave him the push after 800 games and Nick Holmes stayed to the end, I'm sure there are others but its all a bit different today.
-
Why do some people gun for Les Reed? Since he joined us we've risen from dead as the dodo to half way up the Premiership, got our record of seven players in the World Cup and developed the finest academy in the country--he must be doing something right!
-
The waiting game is a bit frustrating but it could be very good tactics, by the time its announced it will be too late to do deals before the WCup and that plays in our favour. Anyway its good to feel there are real interviews and planning going on. Hope I'm not kidding myself

By the way, does anyone know the real reason Doddy and Williams left, I thought they were the backbone of the youth set up and doing a great job

Does anyone know why Jason isn't here, whast was it all about?

The best thing the Board can do right now is.......
Dellman replied to Block34's topic in The Saints
The best thing the Board can do is call back the players friend NC -
NC had spine

MLT on ther field was a super star, MLT off the field is a bit of a liability

I'm nervous that Ralph is like a lot of North Americans--tells a good story and bigs it up, but no substance

Er..excuse me but didn't Cortese refuse to let him go in January?
-
I don't do booing but if he signs Wanyama and Lovren and Morgan and...I'll be tempted

KL and co do not share the same vision, I'm beginning to doubt there is a vision at all

Some people are saying NC overspent the Liebherr money and so they now have to be more frugal...NCs spending has just yielded them £83 million for 8th place and players worth even more than that. I wouldn't mind that sort of return on an investment. The 'project' was working perfectly, why cut back?
-
We haven't got a Board who are committed to Saints or ambitious. Love him or loathe him NC was all those things, when he left the five year joy ride was over...and the Liebherrs multi millions richer
-
Who from the first team would you sell to raise funds?
Dellman replied to ozzmeister's topic in The Saints
But do we need any funds? We've just scooped £83million for ending 8th. So it's a foolish question. -
Bring him back--and quick, before we lose the team and manager he gave us. His record of unequalled success speaks for itself as does the £83million we've just scooped from the Premiership; five years ago this week we were in administration and in the third tier and bootom of it. Bring him back!
-
Why do we need to sell top players, lose the manager, downsize, reign in the ambition or whatever other term you want to use when the efforts of the NC team has just earned us £83 million bonus?
-
The 5 year project has been exciting but its ended...it was 5 years ago today that our administrator gave the exclusive purchase offer to Pinnacle, Leon Crouch laying down an unreturnable £500,000 to keep the club alive while Pinnacle and MLT found the cash...the rest is our 5 year miracle, ended

Can we put to bed the nonsense that we were doomed when NC left.....
Dellman replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
£83million this from Premiership should be a help to self sufficiency, not bad for a club in admin and bottom of Lg1 when NC took over -
It's wrong to say 'we the fans' finance the club. We don't. But £83million for ending 8th mostly TV money puts the owners in a strong position, I can't believe we need to sell. By the way, most clubs in the Premiership have the same problem holding their players no one knows how its going to turn out for anyone yet, so what's to announce?
-
We have just received £82million for 8th place in the Premiership so I can't see that the recent financial shortfall is a problem any more. So if KL starts selling players for another £50million I will begin to doubt her intentions
-
I would trust NC to do the bargaining or better still just say 'no'
