  2. I too have been successfull with a trusty old air rifle on the little blighters. Stalking was taking up too much time so called the council in, £60 for up to 5 visits, 3 visits later to top up the bait until the bait was untouched last week. I'm keeping an eye out for the crafty buggers though.

  10. Some people place far too much emphasise on money, hence he felt the need to cross your palm with silver - sad indicment of our times.
  11. We do seem to have a state of people where mental and physical problems become a vocation rather than a hinderance but only because it's catered for, I'm sure everywhere has it's fair share and Chile have one hell of an alcohol problem, all that good wine I guess.
  12. Looks like an interesting pub, ales seem a bit mainstream but never one to turn down a good ale in a classic pub I'll defo take a look.
  13. +1nage That aside, nice to see the huge appetite for a feel good story on the news, welcome relief.
  14. The Old Operating Theatre looks well worth a visit especially as it's in the locale of Borough Market. Think I'll give the Fan Museum a miss though
  15. This sounds like a good plan - gonna wander around the market, do the Clink Prison and as a someone who loves trying the ales Market Porter is now fully on the agenda. Cheers y'all!!
  16. I'm off to London on Fri/Sat with the wife, any recommendations for places to visit on the Fri, we've got a tour of the Houses of Parliament booked for Sat. We've done most of the big attractions before so I'm after something a little interesting/quirky. Any ideas? I like my history and old buildings.
  17. or dwarfs...........or is it dwarves
  18. It was a silly and pointless OP especially considering where we were in the season and served only to unite the negative mongers who needed any excuse to have a good old frigging moan.
  19. Back in the day, Britain use to have different time zones, Bristol was something like 10 minutes behind London................I'm sure there's a joke to be had there somewhere.
  20. 'Into Thin Air' is a gripping book to read about how things can go very wrong up Everest. Reinhold Messner, now he's the man when it comes to Everest, solo summit and without oxygen - tough cookie indeed.

  24. NA has really stamped his mark on the team, solid no nonsense result - well done lads. In time I'd like to see a more mercenary approach to teams like this and take 'em to the facking cleaners
  25. Played a blinder today and really shone in a well drilled, patient performance by the team. His movement and reading of the game was excellent, fitness needs some work bless him
