Has the world gone mad - ZI is good but is he worth that much

Players lack confidence, Fans lack confidence
BadgerBadger replied to Saint Billy's topic in The Saints
Fans feed off the pitch first, trouble is too many lack lustre displays for too many years have torn the heart out the crowd. It'll take some time to reinstall before we get back to the sort of atmosphere we saw at the Norwich game 2005 -
Lets just remember that we're lucky to have a club at all so to start whinging about the strength of the team is a little churlish. I for one will be a happy man if we finish 1 point above relegation - as long we're slowly moving forward in a mindfull and competent way and not thrashing around in a panic, which for once we don't have to do, then all is going well.

This is good - winning all our warm up games would just be papering over the cracks, losing them shows the amount of hard work that is required to get a decent team together.

Giant Centipede should do the job - nasty

Another signing needed to really turn us around?

Too true - the dark years has seen a demise of the rear echelon of the club that was it's back bone for sooo long - here's hoping AP can build up a new legacy. -

Really enjoy the slow version of OWTS - looks like it's a real Marmite song with some loving and others hating it but reckon it's a goodun when we get it together, reminds me of the masses in Cardiff at the FA Cup final when we sang Shall We Sing a Song for You to the Arsenal fans at the end of the match - spine tingler.

Nice one - wasn't in the ground early enough to see that little montage and really enjoyed it, cheers!

I left on 45 mins, not coz my team were losing but to get out on the razz and celebrate Saints new dawn, was an adhoc democratic group decision. We should all calm down about who should be leaving when and what their motives are. Just sit tight and enjoy the game. Remember - it's all good

Asked about the secret to his longevity, he answered, "Cigarettes, whisky and wild, wild women." Top man - RIP

The key part to the fact ML has 2.5 billion is not that he's going to plough money hand over fist into SFC more that there is a reason he has that wealth and that he is a canny and successful businessman who will bring that experience to our football club - priceless. The 2.5 billion is a massive safety net. Some wealthy people get it with a healthy dose of luck and right place right time and are probably not very good businessman. I'd much rather have a well run business and gain football success from that than be part of a rich mans play thing and I reckon we have the right man for the job. Happy days

I don't want TA either but I just can't get worked up about it, they can appoint Bubbles the ****in monkey for all I care as ML is too shrewed to watch some manager make a mess of his new investment and it wouldn't take long for any manager to be kicked into touch if he's ****e. I'm just happy to have my club back with all the idiots gone, fresh start, new optimism and a much more positive view on whatever happens this seasons seeing how close we came to going under. I really hope these last few months has helped everyone to take it all a little less seriously
-
Me too - in the war for public acceptance I'm surprised they have not rolled out any potential gains in territory or enemy defeats, I guess there's been none This is going to be very messy and very long, we're fighting the fruition of years of training the Mujahadeen, we trained these people to fight the Russians now it's biting us in the ass. Crazy world

It's perfectly ok to be a student you knob gobbling **** monger

Failr play to him, money is obviously not the governing factor in his life and in football that is rare and highly commendable. We seem to attract these types and I like that, alot! He wants to play, he wants to fight and I have alot of respect for the fella considering the stick he got early on.
-
First priority is sign JP up - he was a rock, drilled a good free kick and played his heart out for the club.
