Yep. Awful half. The 3 nil against Leeds was shocking too...all goals in the same half, and they should have had at least 5 in that half, and no var excuses, and 11 vs 11. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't her properly smashed again this season.

KWP has never been this bad defensively before. Shocking today.

Son is a disgrace going down for that. Smallest of flicks.

Yep, but that South America is quite a big place, and for the reason you highlight more British clubs will now be looking there for talent. We seem to be losing talent from Surrey to Chelsea, from the New Forest to Bournemouth, from West Sussex to Brighton, from North Hampshire to Reading, etc. Thus, I'm not sure that because of Brexit that we've now get a better chance of signing players from Buenos Aries or Manaus.

Ha!! You do not know my experience, or what I do, but it's clear that you have no knowledge that is relevant to this subject. I have no wish in debating with the ill informed, so let's leave it.
-
As eloquently put as that all is, you misunderstand the subject and the issue. I do not make my comments as a "contrary type of person", and I would respectfully suggest that you research this subject before commenting further.

Yep, good post. We had the same on the Maradona thread after he died with disrespectful comments. People seem to think that people choose addiction, and it's sad that many people don't understand that it's an illness. I have friends in Gamblers Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous. They've all had bleak times, but none of them believed that using something that initially gave them pleasure and enjoyment would grip them and ruin their lives. None of them went to the depths that they did because of an advert for William Hill or Heineken, or whatever.
-
How do you get exposed to drinking? The answer is that it's out there and acceptable as per gambling, eating junk food, anything that in excess can be unhelpful. Nobody is saying advertising doesn't work. The point is that advertising gambling doesn't make a compulsive gambler (addict) of a normal gambler in the same way that advertising alcohol doesn't make an alcoholic (addict) of a normal drinker.
-
Casual gamblers will be seduced by ads, ditto casual drinkers by ads. A compulsive gambler would still gamble if there was no ads because he's an addict and will gamble. Its a subject that many comment on without understanding.
-
Absolutely. An alcoholic will drink because he's an alcoholic. A compulsive gambler will gamble because he's a compulsive gambler. Adverts have nothing to do with it.
-
What's your theory on why they're saying it? To my mind, it should be second jabs for those who've had first, then crack on pretty much. There has to be a reason why that's not happening and we're being told to brace for another round.
-
I can only assume they're fearing a new dominant variant that'll circulate amongst the unvaccinated causing a wave there, and possibly also bypassing the vaccine in those who've been vaccinated. Nothing else makes sense.
-
That's a point I hadn't appreciated. If its not the issue, most of the vulnerable have had the first vaccine, and it's hard to see a case for fearing a 3rd wave once they've had the second jab. I can only guess its a concern about loads of cases amongst the unvaccinated and/or variants slipping past the vaccine.
-
I'm not looking forward to the twice weekly prostate tests.
-
No idea mate. If so, that may explain it though.
-
Chile are fucked again and they've had a higher vaccine roll out than us. Whether it's a variant bypassing the vaccine, or a surge amongst the unvaccinated proportion I don't know, but it ain't good.

Ha!! Merely mimicking the "controlled" poster.

Everyone repeat after me: "The mentalists have convinced themselves that this is all about social control".

There'd be some point to you dredging up posts from months ago if you were saying back then that he'd be a good signing. Don't get me wrong, you may have done, but I ain't bothering to look.
