Of all the opinions against Lemina you choose to focus on mine, but you're a lone voice mate. If you saw him regularly, and particularly in that semi final, you'd agree with the concensus. It's all about opinions, but I never thought I'd see anyone trying to argue that Lemina consistently showed passion and commitment in a saints shirt.

His performance in the fa cup semi against Chelsea will live long in the memory. I've never seen any player look so disinterested in such a big game. Ability wise he was a great signing, but attitude wise he was a shocker. Sadly I can't see any chance of him fulfilling his potential here or anywhere and I'd take the most cash available this summer to get him off the books.

He's a clever player. Makes masses of space by dragging defenders where they don't want to be. His presence in the team has helped Ings massively. He deserves another year.

To clear up your other non point, I have no doubt that journalists get things wrong. You, however, have swerved my point a few times now about why you say that the club will apparently use the telegraph to peddle transfer lies mid season. You and I know that you can't answer because your point is a daft one. I don't mind debate mate but you're not debating, you're repeating a question that's been answered and ignoring a question which challenges your point. You're being obtuse. You were reminded that our latest published accounts reveled a trading loss. That's a fact. You were also told by Verlaine that we only then made an overall profit because we sold players. Joining up the dots as to why we can't just buy players should not be difficult. On topic, none of us know whether Celtic can afford to or want to sign any of our players. It's unfortunate that people would prefer to speculate about other clubs finances than focus on the reality of ours. On that point, our accounts are due by the end of next month and we'll get to see where we were at as the end of last season - my guess is that it will show that all of the previous years overall profits have been properly spent, to include on players but let's wait and see.

We can all cherry pick figures. The operating profit is as above. The overall Pre Tax Profit is £33,352,000 I suspect you're looking at the lander figures, rather than the football club. Not hugely different but poss explains the discrepancy.

No can do. I use creditsafe via a business login which I can't share. Just Google Southampton Football Club Ltd accounts for y/e 30/6/18. The figures are all there. Pre tax loss, borrowing, big increase in intangible assets (players) etc. It's obvious where our money has been going and why we can't just throw money around. The next accounts are due end of march. Will be interesting.

The thing is Del that on that post, and on others, you and those calling for signings would circle when anyone pointed out that the club can't be expected to go out and buy yet more players. I quoted a couple of financial facts and suggested a wee look at the accounts in order to explain the reality of where we are. Conveniently, nobody bothered to address any of the actual facts and instead posted a load of nonsense before someone put the thread out of its miseray. If you, Glasgow, Batman etc want a debate, then make the effort to address actual facts and when you're wrong, perhaps have the grace to take the point. Sadly, that doesn't happen, and any contrary view gets shouted down making the threads (and to an extent this forum) a farce.
