    Sheds

    http://www.fosterfencing.co.uk/ Great service. Great sheds.
  2. Cracking result. In other news, when the scores/fixtures popped up my missus asked why so many goals in the Stevenage v Everton match. Dippy bint didn't realise that 17.30 was the kick off time. Ffs.
  3. Can anyone think of an example of a player ever having left because of a change in the boardroom?
  4. Fulham sold for £150m. Granted there are some megalomaniacs in the game but for every Vincent tan there's a Sensible owner. For me NC was too profile. The best owners and chairmen are like good bass players - they hold the band together but aren't noticed. Think arsenal and Liverpool. In reality we have no idea why NC left. The apparent wish to sell is pure speculation.
  5. Superb and sensible post. KL may well be committed to the growth of the club. Her family are hugely successful. I for one will sit back, relax and see what the coming days and weeks brings. Instinct tells me that we'll be fine. Really there are 2 outcomes. 1. KL stays. If so she'll want to be a success. 2. KL sells. If so someone will be paying mega money, perhaps £150-300m. Two points arise: A. Anyone paying that will be a serious player and we shouldn't fear the worst. B. KL will want to preserve her asset in the meantime. Nothing to me suggests a need for a panic.
  6. Read the posts back and look at the context. The point is that someone does not have to be from a football background to successfully run a football club. NC proved that albeit he was surrounded by people from a football background. KL is no less qualified (from a football background perspective) to run the club than NC was when he took over.
  7. Exactly. Maybe, just maybe, there is no plan to sell and we can carry on as we were albeit with a different chair.
  8. You've proved the point that someone doesn't have to be from a football background to successfully lead a football club.
  9. NC wasn't a football person. Why could another non football person not be as successful as he was?
  10. Exactly. The rubbish I've read on here today is insane. This could be as simple, and positive, as KL having wanted to install a proper football man to help NC buy more shrewdly and NC throwing his toys out of the pram. That's a guess of course but I'm not sure that positive guesses are allowed.
  11. How do you know that? Silly speculation.
  12. Why that assumption? Why are people assuming we're for sale or that it's best that we're sold? There have been conflicting rumours that KL has wanted out but on the other hand want a greater involvement. Why is the former more likely than the latter? How do we know that the latter would be a bad thing? This is a shock but until we know KL actual intentions people must stop overreacting and jumping to wild conclusions.
  13. Knowing people who would invest in a league 1 or championship club is very different to knowing people who would invest in a prem club looking to penetrate the top 4.
  14. It's a fallacy that publishing something truthful is a defence to defamation. Imo Punch would be in difficulty persuading a court that there's justification for publishing those comments.
  15. Agreed. THEVMAN said that it was stronger than reported. Odd.
  16. No point scoring by me. I just don't like speculation. Now that you've linked to the press article referring to having seen the letter (I'm still unsure that any of the reporters have seen the letter though) I take your point. Not sure what you mean by the big picture. The club have made a complaint and seemingly are pursuing it. We've kept our counsel in public and so has AL. That's admirable imo.
  17. Don't forget that THEVMAN has also said that the actual comments are different to those reported. My comments have been based on Fry's comment that the press have seen the letter. I'm not aware that they have.If they have then they would quote what it says, not what an unspecified insider says.
  18. 1. You said that the press had seen the letter and are now backtracking. I've got no idea whether they have or haven't. 2. So are you saying that the "insider" is from the club? How do you know where the insider is from? 3. The club, quite rightly, are not seeking trial by media. As for the comment by mannine pub, at least he's reporting what he says he's been told rather than just guessing.
  19. 1. To clarify, do you know if the press have seen the letter or are you assuming? 2.An "insider" could be from the ref side, not the club. 3. The club shouldn't release the letter. Let's do our business in the right way.
  20. How do you know that the press have seen the letter? I've not read one press report which suggests that they have seen the letter, bur merely what that they "understand" its contents to be.
  21. I thought the same. Has the letter been put into the public domain?
  22. I've just ditched iPhone again and gone back to android. Iphones are very good but they're vastly overpriced and have been overtaken by android.
