Time to shut up about his dead balls is it? Almost like we only have about two players in our team over 6ft.

I just can't see where any goals come from if Che, Stu, Adam and Broja all miss this one. And I even struggle to see where they come from with them as well sometimes.

I’ve always backed him and I still do. I just can’t think who’s available who I’d be excited by? This squad is unquestionably terrible. I just worry that we’d be downgrading without realising it and go down without a whimper. I don’t personally believe that we go down under Ralph, although others will definitely agree. He has many flaws, but I honestly think he’s been exceeding expectations in keeping us out a relegation dogfight under these restrictions. All changes for me if we don’t hit 4 points from Palace/Brentford, however.

I just don't know where this comes from? 😆 We drew against City, United and West Ham whilst being the better side. Are we really expecting this squad to go through a season without losing to a couple of the teams with centre backs worth our starting 11? Ralph will go into a job better than us when he leaves, and I think that's an indication of where the problem lies.

Yeah this is the big worry for me. He links everything together and has proved to be our most important player over the past 18 months. I hope there’s nothing more to it, but we need him back ASAP.

That’s fair as well. We’ve played some terrible teams and not yet had a convincing win. If we don’t win against Brentford/Palace then I’ll believe we’re in serious trouble.

This is where I stand on it as well. I know lots will disagree but I still can’t help but feel like we’re not doing a bad job with the obvious restrictions Ralph has on him here. I worry that if we sack him and bring in one of the dull managers again we’ll just go down whilst looking terrible at the same time. I still maintain that we’ve only been heavily outplayed on a couple of occasions this year.

We don’t have better players today though. I think any team would struggle missing 4/5 of their best players and having a 40 year old keeper in net playing his first game in a while.

Okay in parts but never looking particularly threatening. Unfortunately we have two of the worst CBs in the league so we make scoring goals easy for anyone. Making Lacazette look good today. Really missing a DM which shows how much of an oversight it was not to get a proper backup/competition for Romeu in the Summer.

We aren't the first and won't be the last to ship 4 to Liverpool this season. Performance levels were worrying but the next two games are the ones we should judge on.

I agree. I may be corrected but this feels like the first game this season where we've been absolutely terrible. We've had the odd half here and there (Everton A, Norwich A) but we've not been outplayed this badly this season. McCarthy and Forster are both terrible and are a result of poor decisions made before Ralph was even here.

As per! Another game where pretty much any other team in the league would be winning by 2/3 with the space/chances we've had.

It's awful tonight. My last train back to Hove from Southampton Central is 10:21pm. I've either got to commit to leaving a few minutes early, or absolutely leg it back to the station after getting out the ground. I can't believe they don't notice this and put a few more on.

Not sure how it looked on stream but second half was worst I’ve seen us play all season. How we only beat these and Leeds 1-0 is beyond me, but encouraging to watch us create a few clear cut chances this week as opposed to Wolves.

I just want to see a lineup without Walcott. We have too many competent alternatives to even be considering him. I can’t say I know too much about how Watford play this year, but I’d like Armstrong and Redmond behind Armstrong and Che. Also took a look at the Watford forum and it’s nice to remember that it’s not just this place that’s gone insane.

Ha, completely forgot that JWP was back. I thought Diallo was great v Leeds but very poor v Burnley, so I do agree that he’d be straight back in.

First away day in a long time, really looking forward to it. McCarthy/Forster Livramento - Lyanco - Salisu - KWP Romeu - Diallo Armstrong - Redmond Broja - Armstrong Tough decision for the forwards, as I think Che did well tonight. However I would like to see this partnership at some point. I personally don't have a preference on GK or LB.
