I don't like the abuse I get every time I bring up the Hoddle 2004 issue. This is a bvery legitimate point of discussion if we want to understand when the decline from the Premiership began. Some posters prefer to bury their head in the sand or probably want to forget their own sorry part in the debacle !

Agree totally. The amount of abuse i have had over my very legitimate argument that the club was derailed due to the failure to appoint Hoddle in 2004 is a classic example. As you note, these are probably the very same idiots who were against Hoddle returning. I keep myself going in the sure knowledge that the quieter majority take a more reasonable view over issues.

Don't blame the manager ! Capello is a proven manager and will prove himself again in the future when he returns to club football. IMO England looked very pedestrian- no speed (due to age), and no flair. They obviously are playing to a game plan. This works with skilful players but I am afraid we haven't got enough of them. We looked like a team of 'has beens' with some players living on their reputations alone. Contrast this to the side that Glenn Hoddle built ! IMO we will draw our next match and will come home early.

If the Skate is in goal i fear the worst.
