Just work harder and earn more money and then it will all be fine.

Quite ammusing seeing you call other's petulant but within the same post, calling Gaston "Gashton" (hilarious by the way) Seems that you are annoyed that the lad gets selected and plays for this country? Pretty bizarre ranting as per usual from our resident chief mouth breather.

Loads of people are booking last minute late summer getaways, I know a mate who just booked a holiday to Kos and will be away this weekend, the weather is getting a little chilly and the evenings are drawing in, it's Sunday so people don't want to get back late and be tired for work the next day, it's on TV and those fans who followed England this week won't go either. It will still be a relatively good attendance all things considered so we are still a massive club and should definitely plan to build the super dome.

All this debate over a decent CHAMPIONSHIP level striker

Baines and Cole are obviously more experienced and more proven but how is Shaw no way near them? Are you talking in terms of ability? If so, be interester to hear which attributes he is miles behind on?

The Future of English Football - and are Saints playing their part?
Dig Dig replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Yea it could be that but in the context of what Parry is talking about in general (young players not being given first team opportunities) and the fact that he states we nearly released him rather than sell him, I think he does mean us. In any case a poor example to use, once he had developed physically, he played and played every week. -

I think we did very nearly release Bale when he was in the academy due to his size and strength, or lack of to be more precise. -
Sounds like his agent is aware of your status on here mate and has used you to leak false info about Prem interest. You're another pawn in the sorry and seedy world of transfers but don't feel bad mate, plenty of people with access to 1000's have been used in the same way. It's a compliment if not anything else.

Another issue seems to be that there is no consistency with our U21, 20, 19 set up. Too many young players (especially those at the big teams) get put straight into the senior side after a few hand fulls of appearances in the Premier League because we think it shows a committment to developing youg players. Spain and Germany use their U21 side very effectively and allow groups of young players to play tournament football together before moving groups up to the senior side at the same time. Here, being an U21 for a period of time probably means that you're unlikely to progress to the senior squad if you haven't been plucked out after a few caps. Ross Barkley, Wilfred Zaha and Rahim Sterling are all recent examples of players who have done nowhere near enough for get full England caps and should be learning through the U21's. -

The one thing we have been guilty of is perhaps not releasing players to U21's once they are in our first team. Luke Shaw is still yet to play for U21's.... -
He would get plenty of games at Arsenal, Wilshere is always injured and they could drop Ramsey quite easily to accomodate a player like Morgan.

Just remembered debating about it with peeps here http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?45491-Who-would-you-like-to-replace-Schneiderlin/page2&highlight=Morgan#.UicvBmS9LTo

It's only a couple of months ago where some forum experts were saying that anyone who said we wouldn't sell Morgan for £12M+ were deluded.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23911157 interesting read on the world of transfers -
I still think Rickie is a big player for us but time to see if we be effective without him. Ultimately, it's up to the strikers to make themselves undroppable by scoring and playing well but a great position to be in where we get to choose between an England Intl and Saints legend and an Intalian international for that spot. JWP is a very good player but I think it's better to deploy him centrally, maybe for when we do opt for a CM 3. I'm not sure he'll be very effective as an AM in the long run, especially in the wider positions.

First team training is for the first team squad. Everyone else trains with the U21's or what used to be the reserves. Nothing new here and certainly not a ban.

We do indeed, Jacob Mellis was incredible. -
He's getting paid for not having to do much. How many tribunals have you heard of for that reason? Also, this type of thing isn't unique to Saints. Lot's of clubs in the league will have players they want rid of but can't due to wages. His wage was inflated due to promotion bonuses which is true for all our players. The club are only guilty of incenting success. There is no suggestion that we are trying to make him walk out, although I would imagine that you just really want that to be the case.
