We HAVE to win this one, it really is our last chance and ANYTHING
-
This result, coupled with: Millwall (h) Brentford (h) Colchester (h) Stockport (a) Millwall (a) Brentford (a) have cost us the season. Thats 14 points more we would have had if we had simply held on to leads which we should have never surrendered (Colchester being slightly different in that we were playing at home against a team with 10 men) *sigh* At least we're still unbeaten this calendar year! As i've said - play-offs are out of the question for this season, but promotion (automatic or via playoffs) has got to be the bare minimum for next.

Glad to hear we've got a Jose Fonte chant straight away

So far so brilliant. We really could have the tie over in this first leg -

dreadful miss by Lallana we need to make this count, not just in this game but in general A Leeds or a Norwich would be at least 2-0 up by now -
I agree with the OP Basically the rest of this season should just be used as pre-season essentially for building a regular first 11 for next season complete with a winning mentality. Davis Otsemeboor - Seabourne - Fonte - Harding Antonio - Schneidlerin - *new attacking mid* - Lallana Lambert - *new pacy striker* should really win the league next season with a winning mentality and having already gelled together.

I disagree with most everyone. They're all very good especially Fonte who really is the brave and tough but also skillful and calm defender we had hoped he'd be. Ultimately I thought they all had a good game apart from the complacency they showed in the last minute. A lot of the pressure they came under was down to the fact our midfield was overran and our strikers lost the ball as soon as they got it. The defence actually played very well.

I really hope you get throat cancer and die on the day of your daughters wedding.

Jon Otsemobor signed on 6 month contract

He's been the captain of Norwich in the past. Oh and the names not hard to pronounce btw, just break it down. Ott-semm-ah-bore. -
Absolute bull Islam clearly states that all those who convert away from the religion must be killed under Sharia law. These guys ARE muslims. But we bury our heads in the sand and pretend that surely no-one would believe that. The problem is that yes they do. and it is a threat.
-
In short. No you wouldn't.

Thirded. This is the thing about Lallana, he may be baby-faced but he's not some 17 year old hot prospect as a lot of people seem to think he is. He's an admittedly good player at League 1 level. But lets see if he keeps this up in the c/ship because he contributed less than nothing all of last season.
-
Not sure about that. Jackson's a pacy striker whereas Barnard's more of a target man. Lambert and Barnard tbh would probably just get in each others way, whereas Lambert and Jackson would compliment each other perfectly.
-
Jackson and Lambert would be the best strikeforce in the division. Fact.
-
Aren't we going for a 4-5-1 anyway? Connolly's great but I'd rather have a trio in the midfield and then have Lallana and Waigo out wide, and let Lambo do the biz on his own up front. Which is what Pards likes anyway - so Danns essentially replaces Wotton, in a like-for-like-but-better kinda way.
-
I can't start a thread myself (so if someone could do it for me that'd be great as i'm only a limited member) but how on earth we haven't started singing "Down" for blue few down the road I have no idea altogether now! Pompeys going down down down down down...
-
Hmm, I'm not overly concerned but I'm more worried than a lot of you seem to be I know its stating the obvious but by July Southampton and Newcastle could well be two leagues apart. :S Honestly I think he would want to leave.
-
A left-winger would be lovely please Pards, Lallana's great on the left but I can't help thinking that a good quality left-footed player would do us the absolute world of good and really give our team a great balance. It'd also give us a few more crosses for Lambert and Connolly to snap up.
-
God why do we always get a complete nothing of a cup tie. Sooner we go out of this competition the better. The league is everything and even the JPT is more important now we're in the semis
-
Puncheon would be a an amazing signing and really give us a fantastic threat from free-kicks, with the option of a big hit from Lambert or a left-footed curler from Puncheon we'd have an incredible weapon
-
Definately the best suggestions so far
-
We need two new centre-backs and a new right-back IMO, and not just a creative type of midfielder/split striker but a real dribbler as Lallanas the only one who seems really capable of beating anyone through the middle
-
Wouldn't it be more fun to find out the worst 11 we actually fielded?
-
(just checked on F365, thought you must have made a mistake, really didn't remember losing to Ippo at home at all whilst in the c/ship :S - meh, my bad)
-
Sorry when did we lose 2-0 at home to Ipswich :S?
