He could give us something a bit extra, but I think he's burnt his bridges with Adkins and Crosby after his bust up with them. He'll probably go at some stage, hopefully not on loan again....!

yep at him. The guy at Wolves years ago too wasn't too bad.....it's not a bad standard in asia at all, and if this kid is performing in Asian cup finals then we could have a bit of a gem.

I would imagine he can play either side, as with most wide players. We needed to strengthen the flanks and up top, looks like we've killed two birds with one stone on this. Let's hope he settles quickly. There have been some real jems come into english football from the Asian leagues, the lad at Bolton springs to mind recently. Quite excited if this all gets confirmed.

The release clause is 3m though, not 1.85m - their chairman has confirmed that. He'll go to Leicester imo, we're not going back for him. I reckon we'll see this Trotta guy come in on a short term loan instead.

That's totally spot on john, he's in no way a cultured CB and never will be - but in emergencies he's fine, defensively he's strong and sound which is all you can ask for really. I never get worried when he's on the team sheet which is testament to him really. He'll never be a regular in this side though simply because as you say, his distribution is not even close to being good enough.

they weren't **** tbf. totally deserved the win. Maynard was decent, loads and loads of pace as you could see, but we did manage him quite well defensively.

Yeah fair point. Connolly is another one. He's not the sort of player that can come of the bench IMO, he needs to be playing and starting games to get his sharpness back. He was one of the main reasons we started so well.

The loss of chaplow is key. We don't have any drive or energy in the middle of the park anymore. We're very rigid and flat....no real dynamic midfield play is happening at the moment and it's all too predictable. Chaplow made excellent runs which opened up space and allowed other players to get into pockets. We don't have anyone like that now, which is why it's all side ways pass, out wide, cross in....in front of the back 4 etc. I didn't ever see Chappers become as important to us as he has, but losing him has had more of an impact on us than losing Lallana ever did. Massive loss.

I hope we're not going to continuously hear ''Well look at where we are in the league, no one expected that" - No, we didn't, it's brilliant. But we won't stay there if we keep playing as crap as we have been this month. That's the reality of it. I just don't want to see our first half of the season go down the pan, but we looked pretty crap today. Worst I've seen us in a long, long, long time. (I missed brentford last year so this was the first home league defeat since Rochdale for me)

Our away form is poor, yep. Has been all year really and we've kept our position based on our home form, now that's starting to slip (no surprise really). This month has been one to forget though. 5 points from 15 is no where near good enough, even if you're at the bottom.

Good young player. His loan deal is up next month at Wycombe so could easily come here on loan for the rest of the year. Haven't seen much of him to be honest, but he's creating a pretty big reputation for himself.
