Pretty much, and we would then need to ensure that our backup contained the previous world-team of the year, just incase we get any injuries.
-
Well they can't have him then, simples.
-
tbf he comes across so well as a manager, fair play to him for wanting to better himself. What he's done at bournemouth with no money is truly amazing. They were an hour from non-league football less than 2 years ago, amazing. He's also just confirmed that his replacement will come from someone already at the club. Fletcher mentioned.

2-1 to colchester now!
-
woooo 2-1 colchester
-
I'll tune in as well then, nothing wrong with being a colchester fan for 10mins.
-
I love colchester

god you're bloody dull.

Sorry, but from someone who has gone to every home game this season (this isn't a dig at you Alps) he hasn't had too many howlers at all and when he's played he's been his usual steady eady. I wouldn't say he's 2nd choice.....he's being cleverly rotated with Dickson and by doing that we get the best of both. 2 good LB's that are probably the best at this level.
-
I think what he's trying to get at is that it's pointless spalshing the cash when it's not urgent, as if we get stuck down here finincially we could end up in **** creek again. Even if you have lots of money it's always better to be prudent with it, rather than just spending it because it's there.

you cut the bit out where i justified what i meant...clubs are producing good young players that go on to get into their first team and maybe move to mid-range prem clubs. But i cannot see clubs producing players that go on to be ''international stars'' and champions league players at the rate we are. Look at Bale and Theo...and if Alex keeps going the way he is he should be as succesfull as them.
-
Bit harsh, compared to what we've had there in recent seasons he's been a breath of fresh air. IMO anyway.
-
I can't think off the top of my head of another club that is consistently producing young players at the level we are. We're not just producing ''good young players'' we're producing young players that are tipped to go on and become international stars. If only we were in the premiership...does my head in! Then we may have a chance of keeping a talent for more than 12 bloody months.

Grab your ticket for Arsenal Charlie. You keep saying you'll be off, but you never quite manage it. Anyway i will be very suprissed if he's not here in feb. If he's here on a loan back then so be it, but he'll be here for the season. Cortese will not want this to damage our prospects this year.
-
I'm not suprised, we don't need any ''major'' signings. We could well be better off waiting till the summer ''when'' we're promoted and see if we can attract real top top players. At the mo the squad is ok and should get us to the championship. but lol@alpine again.

Richardson is a good shout, but i totally agree with Seaborne. I think he's been one of our most improved players tbh, although he's never been as bad as some people make out. I'm not surprised clubs from a higher league are after him. Will be a v good player, he's developing into a proper CB. Also morgan has been a joy to watch in recent weeks. He's majestic at times.

Probably by Saturday...and once we get there i can't see us dropping back down.
-
Listen, since we've been in the building we've inherited a fantastic group of hard working professionals. They're now on the bus and the wheels are in motion. It's as simple as that.
-
Totally agree...but some people don't see that. We need to have 2 lambos, 2 lallana's and 2 Oxo's apparentley to even stand a chance of promotion. This is kind of what happend to us at the start of the season - Lallana injured, Lambo totally unfit and injured and Chambo wasn't completley established at that point. Like you said - take Messi and Xavi out of Barca's team and they'll never be as good, it's the same with us and the same with most teams in the world. ...At least we're not a 1 man team though.
-
I bet that move is more of him being ''pushed'' by Eddie Mitchell as the money they have been offered for him is too good to turn down? It does make him look a bit of a plank though after coming out 2 days ago and saying how he will stay, he loves the club etc. Would have probably been better for him if he moved the first time.
-
Let's not be too negative! I know it's odd seeing us win every week and beating (the right) records for once - but i really believe we'll win this and win it well. Lallana, Guly, Lambo and Chambo are on top top form at the moment and it's very hard for any team at this level (or even lower half champ) to contain them when they're on their game (look at Hudds/P'Boro etc - they're much better teams than Notts County and we totally thumped them) Another real plus for me recentley has been the form of Morgan, i think he's been magestic. If he continues that and the front 3 get their usual service, it'll be fine.
-
i'm honestly not bothered if we sign anyone or not. (just Guly) Our squad is already good enough. Next summer we'll need to add a few more though.
-
The last thing we need is a player hanging around the place that doesn't want to play for us. So if that's the case get rid of him, on loan or whatever. Although I honestly don't think he'll find a better club than us to go to. He's destined to be a lower league journey man.
-
You never know trousers. P'boro may have a new manager in place by then, so the new manager effect may work in our favour for once. They're not a bad side and will cause brighton problems. I don't think it'll be easy for Bournemouth at Colchester either...tricky place to go..... Still - let's just win our game. If we keep doing that we'll be ok anyway.
-
Lambo is a changed man recently, that break over the xmas period has done him the world of good. He looks slimmer, quicker, sharper and fitter and that's why we've started to win handsomely again. Last season he was still pretty hot on assists though, 23 assists in all comps I think which shows how important he is to us. Glad to have him back.
