Nothing wrong with it, but signing too many when it's not really necessary can also have detrimental effects on the team structure. At the moment Adkins has the rotation and squad setup perfectly - it's working bang on. The last thing I think we need in this window is a mass influx of new players like last January. And I believe this squad could more than enough hold their own in the top half of the CC.

If Punch stays that's the wide area's sorted. I'd still like to see us bring in another forward though, but other than that our squad depth and quality really takes the **** in this league.

Top class player. So lucky to have him at L1 level. We have some stunning young talents at this football club, if we can keep them and progress through the leagues the premership could be fun...

I think it's crazy he's stayed here as long as he has, it's madness that we've got 2 keepers of this quality in L1. I remember last year Bart went to barnsley on loan and he starred during that period. I'm sure he'll be our number 1 at some point, he deserves it tbh.

I think with Hammill it was a case of being here at the wrong time. When he joined it wasn't the best of environments with GB kind of giving up, financial uncertainty and a relegation battle looming. I think if we had him back now in a winning, confident and settled setup we'd see a different player. He's always had the talent, but it wasn't the right environment for him at the time.

Agree with your last thought - they had their chance last January and we're now under a totally different regime manager wise, and they were both ''pardew'' targets. Personally i think Chappers adds that competition to our midfield we lacked, we're pretty strong there now.

I feel loyalty towards Harding as he has never really put a foot wrong with us, a steady-eady if you like. I'd still put him as my first choice. Dickson is the more exciting of the pair but I see no issue in using them how we have been - all 4 full backs are being rotated pretty well actually, being utilised for their strengths in the right games.

Much the same as you DPS, i was quite annoyed by the sacking and i felt it was unjust at the time - but we don't really know what was going on in the background at the time nor will we ever find out. But you have to say that the decision at the moment looks like the right one. I loved the appointment of Nigel, felt it was excellent. He's a modern, forward thinking manager and can go all the way with us - there aren't too many young managers around with his talent, I really rate the guy and have since day 1. It does all look really positive now with the excitement of another transfer window coming up, and with the benefit of hindsight it does look like Nicola has made the correct choice for the long-term.

It's really a promotion or bust for them this year, next summer should be great. We'll be celebrating a promotion with a nice trophy and they're once again imploding from finishing bottom half in the championship.

another good thing from our last 3 games...our GD is now excellent and is keeping us in 2nd place (with charlton now winning) we're only 5 goals behind Brightons +22 GD.
