  1. lol typical. i've lost count the amount of times that's happened to us. at least they don't have the chance to replace him though.
  2. they have added to the squad fantastically. Johnathan Douglas, ex leeds, is arguably one of the best CM's in this league and the signing of the season on a free. I'd have him in our midfield any day of the week. Austin is the hottest prospect outside of the PL, the guy is prolific. Add to that - billy paynter, who's always scored goals and the pace they have down the flanks...they'll always cause problems.
  3. Swindon are the best team we have played at St Mary's this season, so they are there by merit. they have done the double over Leeds, both 3-0 scorelines. They aren't ''crud''.
  4. FT in all the games. Mk Dons 0 - 1 charlton Wycombe 1 - 2 Huddersfield yesterdays results were great, but todays are the worst we could have asked for tbh. i cannot see how we can do it now, it just isn't going to happen. nm - next season we won't even be worrying about scraping into the playoffs.
  5. i think they'll finish 4th, with millwall and swindon above them. that's not the top 6, it's just the playoff places. sorry my post was poss a bit misleading.
  6. wycombe have one back.. Wycome 1 - 2 Huddersfield.
  7. i think the top 6 will now stay as they are, will be very difficult for anyone to sneak in now IMO. 3 Millwall 39 28 72 4 Leeds United 39 26 71 5 Charlton 39 20 71 6 Huddersfield 39 20 65 maybe with Swindon/Millwall swapping places.
  8. 2-0 to huddersfield
  9. +1, totally agree with that. As you've said, it makes more sense to have one in the premiership - someone who is aware of the availability of ''bigger'' players, as it's much harder to locate the right sort of players for the right sort of money in the PL - so that's where a DoF will come in handy. It's worked really well at Stoke for the past 2 seasons.
  10. what comments did he make?
  11. Millwall have just gone behind at home as well against Brentford.
  12. it's a great game to watch though, it could finish any score at this rate.
  13. wannabe mod
  14. that third goal was a joke, clear handball. but tranmere are opening them up time and time again, this could be a rout.
  15. now tranmere 3 - 0 Norwich
  16. People need to realise that football isn't a defined logic. It doesn't work like this - Because we beat Norwich, we have to beat Tranmere, because we beat Mk Dons, we have to beat brighton...and so on. So because Norwich have lost like 1 game in 20 odd, they shouldn't loose 2-0 to tranmere tonight? oh. current score - Tranmere 2 - 0 Norwich. 14mins gone.
  17. Exeter 2 - 0 colchester pretty much FT.
  18. on another note, Aaron Martin has scored to put Sailsbury 1 up. Good for him to get out and have some games again, can imagine him being in and around the squad next season after we lose Perry and Thomas.
  19. get off your high-horse ffs and man up. You give out as much as you get back.
  20. and putting all of that into context - pard's hasn't done a bad job at all, as people keep saying, our position is false because of our -10 and poor start (which was bought about by the -10) start the season now with what we have, we'd be up with norwich based on our form over the games since october.
  21. he never ever answers a sensibly put question, or responds intelligently to a sensibly put post. He will counteract it with pointless childish remarks. he was asked a fair question earlier ''did you think we'd get promotion at the start of the season?'' - he didn't answer it afaik simply because it would ruin his agenda and make his current posts look very silly indeed. there was a quote a few weeks ago, alps said he'd accept 16th - 17th place. So we're now 10th, possibly will finish between 8th-10th and he's moaning. go figure.
  22. you're hardly one to moan. mark 593549359359 of the same post from alpine. good post fwiw sog - it's madness how people cannot see that he's doing a good job. i'm embarrassed sometimes to support a club lumbered with so many morons for supporters.
  23. Actually i reckon we'd be closer to Leeds and co if we had started on 0 pts too. The 10pts was a huge barrier for us to get over and it held us back (also in terms of being able to attract the right sort of players), you saw our performances improve once we got rid of that. i think it's fair to say that with no -10 and the same team as we have now, we would be up there with the Norwich's, leeds and millwalls of the league. Good signs for next season i think.
  24. A new RB - that's the main position that has a question mark over it at the moment for me, We need more cover in CM and we need to add competition for deano - as it's too easy for him to get into the team (that's not a criticism of him, but it's easy for him to take his place for granted atm). Someone of championship quality is a must, Danns/Stock. Obviously we'd need to add cover in CB and probably another extra face in midfield, but i don't think we need urgent surgery - just 1 or 2 quality additions and we'll be fine.
  25. you're so right, most of us can see it but unfortunately every club is littered with total berks that want it yesterday. I think (hope) the majority of the fan base can see that we're heading in the right direction now, only the berk's cannot see the bigger picture.
