Yep - 1 month initially, but i expect the process has started to extend it. I hope we sign him on a perm too. He's so strong and powerful - full backs haven't got a clue how to handle him when he comes on. He defines ''Impact'' sub.

We started off with our best team - a team that had already one 4 in a row playing in a system that was working. We played ok first half though, we dominated the possession but we didn't get wide enough or cause them enough problems (their ginger player had Papa in his pocket first half) AP at least showed the insight to spot the failings and change them, - it instantly made the difference.

bizzare, who is running that club? bunch of clowns. i don't think they'll have a club this time next year if im honest, they're that busted.

That was a fantastic test for us today, it was a chance to see how far we’ve come and how we can match up against the better sides in this league....and we passed it with flying colours. The first half was dominated by us in terms of possession; I didn't think we tested their keeper enough though. Their goal was a good free kick (it was dubious mind...and against the run of play), but I still felt we would win. We came out in the 2nd half a little sloppy...but AP made 2 v quick changes which changed the game. Antonio was direct and strong - complete opposite of Papa who had an absolute shocker today! He really did... The entire complexion of the game changed as Antonio kept running at them, going for headers and a lot of the time beating their full back - mainly just down to sheer strength - he's a bloody ox and very deceptive...as he doesn't look that fast, but once he gets going... Our equaliser was a brilliantly worked goal, Morgan (who looks a different player for us now) spotted Antonio out wide right in space...sprayed a lovely ball to him and he cut it back to James who curled a lovely ball towards the back post - hammond made a lovely run to meet it. After that, we never looked back - continuously pouring forward and through sheer determination from Antonio, we on a free kick out of nothing. Again...james played a nice ball which was cleverly dummied for Lambo and he slammed it into the goal - it was a brilliant finish. We professionally closed the game out after that- none of this frantic hoofing or dropping deep and panicking - we just kept to our game and pressured them right to the 94th min. Their ginger player, who I thought was one of their better players, then played a shocking ball to no one other than Connolly - who showed the composure you expect to see from a player of his calibre. Game over - never in doubt once we got into the lead - and I must say this team is one of the best we have had in a long time, not just in terms of quality...but a sheer determination, sprit and a will to win. The MK Dons are one of the best teams in L1, but in all departments we were just better than them today, stronger, sharper and faster- that's not down to them having a bad day, it's just down to us having more quality. Watch out the top 6 is all I can say. We’re on our way...

Bournemouth still can't loan/sign anyone though. I'd put a wager on it being Aldershot, with Dodd there and all that...

23-24k expected. They're anticipating a huge walkup on the day.

Thanks for that, interesting. Wouldn't worry about Hammond and Lallana - AP mentioned on saints player that adam was rested as he had a slight knock on his ankle, but will be available on Saturday. He said there were no other problems...so i think we can assume hammond was just rested as a precaution

The best bit being he's only planning to be there for 6 months......fantastic. I bet he's already looking for prospective buyers. have they even started on the training ground yet...? at the end of the day...if you have $$$$ things move quickly, if you don't....you get articles like this pop up.

It's been up and down all week. They keep having this ''sold out'' issue too - when it isn't! your best bet (as they advised me to do) is to give them a call direct atm as it's so temperamental, which will be tomorrow now.
-
Really sad news. Stay strong Ron.

Completely agree It honestly makes such a difference to the makeup of a team when you have a leader type figure in the centre. liverpool for e.g...they've nothing without gerrard.
-
Oh dear that's what you want, someone managing your club who doesn't give a **** - he just wants his money back. gotta feel sorry for them in a way, they've been strung over twice now. but it is funny...
-
I'll take that as being said in jest

AP is clever about reducing the expectations of the fans - and removing the added ''must win'' pressure off the players shoulders. He's done it in a few games this season, Oldham away being an example i think... Top management IMO.
-
That's a worry - he's made us tick in recent weeks.
-
It's great that our most impressive players are right down the spine of the team though isn't it? if they all keep their levels of performances, we'll win almost every week IMO. Pard's has built this team on rock solid foundations, rather than just sand (like the last few years) - and it's beginning to show. I wouldn't be surprised to see us win 10 on the bounce eventually with this spine to the team.

Go on - share! (or pm if you have to )

That's a really really hard question, because all of his signings have improved us in some way. You could single lambo out, because of what he brings to the side (Goals/ assists etc) ...but for me, if i was to choose, it would be hammond. He's added a grit, determination and a leadership into the middle which has been lacking for years...and without that blend in the middle, lambo will not be as effective. i felt he's driven us in some games this year - and he's only been here a few months. top top player imo.
-
I must admit, he has signed some utter utter dross. If you want a successful team you can't really run the transfer policy rafa has. His best buy, far and away, has been Torres. Where the hell would they have been in the last couple of years without him? I mean, liverpool are probably on par with aston villa/tottenham when Torres and Gerrard are out - that says alot for his ''squad'' additions. They are just not at the level, which is why they've lost 4 out of the last 4. He is starting to bug me a little bit, as he seems an extremely stubborn individual that just sticks with the same systems (zonal marking in particular) when it just isn't working with the group of players he has. He'll be gone by the end of the season IMO.

Cracking game tonight... Real Madrid 2 - 3 AC Milan was 1-0 at HT..and the 2nd half exploded with milan winning it in the 89th min, wtf were the goalkeepers doing though, on most of the goals - great entertainment in the end...and no matter how many 100's of millions madrid spend, they still can't frigging well defend.
-
Nice to see Hart still has the eye for talent. Cherno Samba (ex Millwall and Plymouth) has been handed a trial. they're obviously more skint than we can imagine, or hart doesn't have a clue. Probably a mixture of both...
-
Well you can't say Gibson hasn't given him time he's was in his third full season and they've got shockingly worse as each season goes on (they haven't exactly pulled up any trees this year have they?) Southgate lacked something to be a top level manager IMO, i think he'd make a good assistant or coach though.
-
Should be well over 20k for sat then - decent turn out. Hope the team deliver!
-
He won't get yet. But it is always a worry when you have a successful team and you're in the third division. It's always hard to resist the overtures of higher division clubs. Let's just hope we get promoted quickly and can get back amongst the higher division clubs..

I'm almost 100% sure, after listening to a piece on AFC Wimbledon a few weeks ago, that they hold the honors of the ''old'' Wimbledon. ''In October 2006, an agreement was reached between Milton Keynes Dons F.C., the MK Dons Supporters Association, the Wimbledon Independent Supporters Association and the Football Supporters Federation. The replica of the FA Cup plus all club patrimony gathered under the name of Wimbledon F.C. would be returned to the London Borough of Merton. Ownership of trademarks and website domain names related to Wimbledon F.C. would also be transferred to the Borough. It was also agreed that any reference made to Milton Keynes Dons F.C. should refer only to events after 7 August 2004,''
