Clubs keep fans in the dark over bad news, it's always the way. Yet they will shout about the good news. Swansea have kept absolute silence on the game yesterday, yet we're shouting it from the rooftops. Clubs aren't going to want to share bad news.

Makes absolutely no difference. The problem is the platform it's hosted on/forum backend, going in via specific links isn't going to make any difference (as it hasn't for me, at any point). You probably just get lucky at that one second.

Looks like we had some fun this afternoon! I've not seen any official listings on the first 11 Swansea put out though? That would be interesting to see. I listened to the Ralph post-match and he wasn't particularly happy with the 2nd outing and the changed team.

It might just be me, but spending around £30m on a 29 year old coming on 30 year old, who'd failed at this level before with Bolton, and only scored a couple of goals last year for Valencia, seems a little bit insane. They haven't learnt then.

Their summer window this year feels very reminiscent of their first one under Roman. (When they bought the likes of Glen Johnson, Robben, Mutu - remember him!, Crespo etc). I reckon Loftus Cheek should probably move on and maybe the other fella, Hodson-Odoi (why is he so highly rated by the way? He never seems to produce anything).

But I don't' think that should just be the accepted, because what's the point of this place if that is the standard? It doesn't work 80% of the time and people fork out £5. Tiny amount for sure, but it's still an outlay paying for something that is offline more often than it's online. I'm sure Steve is working his arse off trying to fix it, can imagine it's even more frustrating for him than it is for us. As he's said before it doesn't seem to be due to load or traffic hitting the site (so I wouldn't have thought it was a DDoS) it looks to be something more involved with how this forum it's self is functioning. I'd still go back to my previous point though - it was mentioned that this new 'solution' was setup so it could scale up and down based on performance, maybe that 'configuration' is what's causing the issues here? I've used other Invision forums and I've never had issues such as this.

To be fair to Jeff, he's pretty knowledgeable and onboard with us too - I think his son's (or one of them) supports us and he lives in this area. But rumours today is that he's set to be next and they're ditching Jeff too.

There is certainly one too many goalkeepers on our books. Forster, Gunn and McCarthy would be unfeasible to keep at a club like Saints, and also unfair to top level professionals. I think the main reason Fraser is staying is because he knows he's on a good deal here, 80k p/w apparently, no one in their right mind would ever match that. So, why not just knuckle down at the club paying you that and see where you go. I wouldn't want to see McCarthy dropped though or leave, the one I expect to go is Gunn. He's still got a decent contract, so throw him out on loan for the year as a number 1...then if he finds his potential we've either got a new No.1 or someone we can get our money back on.

It's honestly driving me insane now, just wanted to post reaction to the Sky Sports 'sackings' and it's taken me about an hour to even get close to this page. This is like the days of pre ADSL back in the early 2000's. Shouldn't be like this. I've used so many forums over the years, and I still do, and I've never seen one react or respond like this one. Is it the forum (i've used other Invision boards) or is it the AWS backend causing the issues? Has it been overcomplicated maybe? As you mentioned there are now multiple servers to scale up and scale down etc. Is it worth just dumping it and starting a fresh with a new brand? If we lose history, we lose history, but I'd take that over this frustrating stuff at the moment.

I think Tiss was always going to go after his Twitter antics, whether you agree with them or not, Sky are protecting a brand and he went 'off brand'. Thompson was an irritating scouse dimwit by the way, won't be missed. People like Alex Scott, she can be a little irritating at times, but she bloody well knows her shit. Very clued up and knowledgeable. Micah, I'm not sure what to make of him yet - one thing you can put on him is that he is incredibly enthusiastic, probably too much to be honest- he'd need to tone that down otherwise he'd get on my fucking tits. Both of those are decent shouts though, knowledgeable and confident. Clinton Morrison - no. He's annoying as hell, not exactly knowledgeable either. Comes across a bit simple, like Merson. But I think what will be missed most is the 'mates' element of it, you watched the show and they would play off each other really well - that sort of camaraderie will take time to develop with a new panel, so we'll see.

Not sure on the cries for Grealish myself. You've got Mount and Foden who are very similar players and both on a much higher level than him. Would be pointless to include 3 players of the same ilk.

So Reed and Lemina going will mean all go on a new midfielder, I imagine. There will be a nice chunk of wages saved and a loan fee for Lemina, and a nice £8-10m for Reed. Although we may need to use that money to help pay for the kit sponsor debacle....who knows how that will impact us.
