  1. They have Thai owners. Wolves are owned by a Chinese 'investment' vehicle, and seemingly Jorge Mendes. That smells a bit fishy though.
  2. Fear of change, it's natural to be honest. When things have been so stable for a while and something comes along to change that, there will always be fear and concern. But I honestly don't see this as a bad thing. Kat was not going to sell us to some shysters without any intentions or finance. I know people seem to think they're skint, but that wouldn't make any sense. We can all agree that with the changing face of football, we needed fresh investment. This will give us that, otherwise it wouldn't have happened.
  3. Nothing but good memories of their stewardship. They have invested and Kat has continued what Markus set in stone - his ambition was for us to become a stable Top 10 premier league club, we did that in record time. Now she feels that it's time for some external input to help us keep the level and maybe even improve on it. They have been amazing custodians for our football club, not just Kat, but the entire family. I can understand peoples trepidation and fear of what may be ahead, but this is being done with the full blessing of the Liebhers, and everything they have done for us has been spot on. This deal would not be happening if it didn't benefit. They're not going to sell us up the river. On wards and upwards, but they will forever by a huge piece of our club.
  4. You are correct. This is what has been holding up the deal Apparently.
  5. I think it's stopped for PSG. Just them.
  6. Well, that came out of the blue. Nothing to do with Lander then.....? I'm still of the opinion that KL would not have done this without being 100% sure that they're good. Hopefully the start of a seriously exciting era - not that the last 6 years haven't been exciting enough....
  7. Our goalkeeping situation is a tad confusing. We seem to like stockpiling GK's who will never actually play.
  8. Then have a look at their coutinho thread, they're then saying the complete opposite. They're a very confused city at the best of times, but this is just weird.
  9. The Liverpool bias in the media is really cringe. They don't know what they're on about half the time.
  10. Around 20 million euro, so 15/16m ish. similar price to what we paid for Lemina. Think we want a loan though with a view to buy, not sure how keen Atleti would be to that after our previous cock up...
  11. Monaco are pretty flush with cash tbf.
  12. Yeah, Cresswell has been injured. He'll be back in next week unless there's a disaster during the week! But I thought they looked horrendous, devoid of any plan or pattern to their play. Not sure what they were ever trying to achieve today. Lots of pressure on Bilic this year.
  13. Fonte starts on the bench for WHU. Reid and Ogbonna are the first choice this season.
  14. It wasn't deja vu at all, and it will only be deja vu to you because you're going to continuously condemn the sacking of Puel all season. Forget last season, forget Puel, it's done. Form opinions rather than trying to make a point on Puel's sacking. We played with more intent and pressure than we did last season, there was nothing similar to any 0-0 from last year.
  15. I may be wrong, but I 'think' it was because their new kit was announced before their promotion was confirmed - so the PL have allowed them for this season to carry this shirt. I think there was a seasons grace anyway...
  16. Newcastle being walked over by Spurs here in the 2nd half. Newcastle 0 - 2 Spurs. Not helped by the fact that the thug Shelvey is still trying to play the big man. Horrible human.
  17. We lose our mobility in attack with Austin on, it's sad to say. Not entirely sure he's a fit for us. That team today will get goals, I'm filing today in the 'one of those days' category as opposed to anything being wrong. If we play like we did today for the next 37 games, we will have a storming season.
  18. The first one, by a country mile.
  19. I try not to read too much into these early season games, but compared to last season we were much better. The score line may still say 0, but there was intent for 90mins and this is definitely a game you can file under ''one of those afternoons''. We'd have won that game at a canter if we'd got that early goal. Our pressing was noticeable, we pressed in units in different areas of the pitch which 'locked' swansea in a lot of the time. This then allowed us to quickly win the ball back and break on them. Our finishing was wasteful as hell though, especially Gabbiadini. Hopefully he gets his sharpness back for next week...! As he's usually pretty clinical. For me, apart from the fact it was 0-0, there isn't a great deal to complain about from that. We pressed high, passed the ball well, moved it quickly in and around the box and used the width really well at times - it was so much improved from last season, anyone could have seen that. Onto next week...
  20. Ah, poor old Liverpool. Already losing.
  21. Talk about karma. Markus is having a good old giggle on our behalf up there....
  22. Vietto has been told he can leave Atleti fwiw. Although only for a fee, not a loan. May be something we're monitoring in the back ground. I certainly wouldn't be against that as a swap.
  23. I hate the modern player. They're trying to sign players for the club now, why is that their job? Knuckle down, get back fit and start playing again. And all this crap about ''I've been injured for a while and it's let me reflect'' - go and do one, is this a new thing now? Use the clubs facilities to get fit but then plot your move away once they get you fit. Whiny, sulky, multi-million pound **** heads.
