  1. Loan deal in the works, apparently.
  2. TBF easily the sort of signing they need to be making, although his error today was somewhat uncharacteristic.
  3. I would guess around the end of the month, probably Norwich.
  4. All aboard the Liverpool-Sky ****fest....
  5. If Wenger doesn't get his head out of the sand and realise they need a top level CB, CM and ST then they will continue to flatter to deceive.
  6. If he doesn't learn how to defend, we might as well play him at RW! Positive going forward, but all over the show at the back. Still got some bedding in to do though.
  7. Could have won it, could have lost it. Typical thrills and spills opening game, and a draw is a good result up at a rejuvenated Newcastle. The 2 area's which aren't quite right are the area's which we know we'll be fixing - CM and CB. Cedric looks frightening going forward, but an utter mess defensively - but I'm sure he'll get better. If Targett doesn't learn from this game then he won't go far, positionaly he was diabolical - needs to concentrate a lot more and, Newcastle preyed on his fragility most of the game. Overall, I'd say that was a positive start. Defensively we looked pretty ****, but we kind of all expected that - still work to be done in those area's. The attack looks very nice though, Mane is just pure brilliance. He should have won it, but his pure class got us those openings in the first place. He looks much better than he did last season already. Good to see the 'real' Tadic back as well, that cross for Long's goal was magic. Onto the next one...
  8. Wouldn't read too much into their side, Sunderland are just pathetically bad. You'd be having a bad day if you didn't score a few when they play like this.
  9. Should have been 4. This is whatever score Leicester want, Sunderland are just pointless at this level. If they survive again this year, there needs to be some sort of investigation! They're clearly not good enough for this level.
  10. Business as usual for Sunderland. They are pants.
  11. Norwich XI: Ruddy; Whittaker, Russell Martin ©, Bassong, Brady; Howson, Dorrans, Tettey, Johnson; Hoolahan; Grabban. What a rubbish lineup for this level.
  12. Same old MP team really, very little punch.

They're still trying to live in their best era (late 90's), they haven't really moved with the times. Lots of repeated features, no real change, it's just very stale. Not sure if it's just my age, but I much prefer watching a Saturday morning football show like Fletch and Sav. Current, relevant, well structured. I don't care about music and bands, or comedians in the buildup to football. BT Sport have it spot on with their Saturday build up.
  14. Still can't believe Leicester paid £7-8m for Mills a few seasons back.
  15. Yeah, he was here at the back end of our L1 promotion season. We got him from Oldham, not a bad player, but never really stood out. He's not developed to any sort of level to be in a PL team though.
  16. Will Cope and Jimmy Case, those were the days.

  18. Sadio is off, then.
  19. Quite funny watching Utd's mini-meltdown on RedCafe, after the announcement that De Gea will not play tomorrow as the 'transfer window is still open'. So he's going then, basically. And LVG fell out with Valdes who has been pushed to one side.
  20. I think you're reading too much into it, to be honest. We did a thoroughly professional and efficient job over 2 legs. We played away from home in Europe, at a decent standard, and won 2-0 - after over a decade of being out of it. I thought it showed another side of our game, whereby we can slip a few gears and still get the job done. We didn't need to play at full tilt in these games, and that shows how good a squad we have these days. If we'd lost, fair enough, but there's no need to start waving the stick at certain players for what was a job well done. Onto the next one.
  21. Utter moronic management. What is the point of fielding a weakened team at this stage, when they are at Arsenal, which they are unlikely to win anyway? I'd be furious if i was a WHU fan, this is worse than those week teams MP put out. The media will try and spin it as it being good for West Ham, but this isn't shaping up to be a pretty season for them - in my opinion.
  22. Efficient and professional. No need for fireworks at this stage, and seemingly we are good enough to get these sorts of results in Europe - away from home. Very impressive, really. Martina looks solid, although rarely tested. Stek looks a safe pair of hands, and Mane will just be a barrel of fun this year. On a final note, welcome back Jay Rodriguez. Great moment for him.
  23. Director of Football, Les Ferdinand, added: “Oscar’s another good addition for us – and another player with good Championship experience. That's stretching it a bit, isn't it?
  24. Nope, they're just being very careful with him.
