I read something a few months back (from Reed I think) that indicated Stephens and Turnbull will be added to our first team squad for next season. From what I've gleaned from Koeman's comments is that we'll keep Toby if possible and that will be that - or if we can't, we'll just sign to replace him. I think generally he's happy with our CB options, and why shouldn't he be given the record this year! I'm a bit disappointed in Gardos to be honest. It seems as if he's another expensive CB addition who isn't fancied here. Not as hopeless as Forren though. I think he's shown glimpses, especially Arsenal away in the cup - but in other games he has looked very clumsy and slow.

I don't think the club will know for sure until pre-season, after it's healed from the op and they can have another check. The general theme with this sort of injury is 9-12 months. So I'd play it safe and get a keeper in with the intention of them being number 1 for the entire season.

Pelle's v QPR for me, that was epic. Important goal as well seeing as QPR had just equalized, with a great goal from themselves as well. I agree with Max above as well - the 6th at the weekend was quality, so quick and fluid. I don't think many teams would have been able to defend against that quick move.

Yeah true, Liverpool looking to the future with Pirlo by the looks of it. But I don't begrudge Morgan a move what so ever this summer, I think he's given us 7 brilliant years and he deserves his shot now. In my opinion he's at the level of Juve, Bayern, Real, PSG....so I'd love to see him turn out at any of those clubs. At least we wouldn't have to see him play against us every year. I still laugh at Spurs believing they have a chance of getting him, clueless.

The problem is that the media is full of ex-Liverpool people, and it becomes a complete cringe fest. Look at Sky with the gerrard stuff, I mean christ - could it get any more nauseating? But expect the tripe about Liverpool being the best club for him, he should stay for a couple of years and continue to develop ''under one of the best managers''. But what if Liverpool wanted JWP? ''It would be a good move for Liverpool, he deserves to play at a big club. Rogers will handle him brilliantly'' bla bla bla

Carraghers rant on MNF last night was typical Liverpool sentimental guff. But seriously, this is just beautiful to watch. A total copy of what we went through last year potentially happening to them, whilst this year we start signing our main men to new contracts. Who's ambitions have changed Rogers?? Most Liveprool fans have said that they can get £30m and just reinvest, but seriously? reinvest in what exactly? all of his signings over the past few years have been dog ****e, so good luck with that. In the words of Keegan....''I'll love it if we finish above them, I'll love it''

No stop gaps, a brand new first choice GK is rqd.
-
Oh yeah, good point. Not sure why I forgot them.
-
Where will he go by the way? He's been crap for about 6 months, and generally this season hasn't been great for him. Arsenal have enough of his sort, Chelsea just splashed £30m on Cuadrado. Utd...? The scouse ****s will love that.
-
Top work by the way.
-
Who knows, I think a point will get us 6th and we've got a chance of getting 5th if we win, what with Sterlings actions... Not sure why people are being defeatist, we went to that stadium with Jos, Fox, Guly and co - and got so close. I see no reason why this lot, with it's outstanding defensive organisation, cannot do better.
-
I believe Liverpool had ambitions to be a top 4 club, it looks as if their priority's changed. I have no sympathy for them what so ever. Oh rogers.

Karma or what....!!

3-0 Chelsea are definitely on the beach.
-
2-0 WBA. Chelsea have now conceded 30 goals to our 31, come on WBA just a couple more.
-
West Brom lead Chelsea. Few more please WBA, give us back our defensive record.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 6-1 Aston Villa
S-Clarke replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
According to the experts on here he didn't mean it, he apparently mistakenly touched the ball with his other foot, which somehow was the perfect weight to Clyne's foot. Useless player. -
How is Garth crooks even paid to have an opinion on football? It does my head in, he's so **** at it. My dog could do a better job.
-
I think Rogers finished him as a top flight player. It won't get mentioned though. The way he's been utilised is nothing short of shambolic, he should hang his head in shame. But he won't, cause he's a managerial genius or something.
-
Hopefully same will happen here, as I don't think it's had the desired effect what so ever. It basically hinders ourselves, Everton, Swansea etc - but allows the bigger clubs to pull away even further, so not quite sure how it's 'fair play'. Hopefully the rules will be readjusted so we can all have a slice of the cake.
-
I think a draw will get us 6th, as I can see Everton turning spurs over. It's a really interesting end to the season for a change, lots to play for. All of us vying for 5th/6th/7th have very tough away games. Anything could happen. I'm just glad we don't have to worry about what may be behind us now, that should take the pressure off somewhat - we can just go out there and see what happens.

Best/Worst performances from opposition players at St Mary's this season
S-Clarke replied to Wiggles31's topic in The Saints
Vergini is a truly horrendous football player, I have no idea how he's lasted at this level so long. He was one of the worst players I saw last season, and he is again this season. He's like Bambi without any grace. Shocking player. Williamson was also turd, just as he was last season. Shocking player. Best player this year was probably Aguero, we've been quite fortunate in that fact that most teams we've played at home have been on the back foot for most of it - and we've kept them quiet. But the City home game was the only one we've been well and truly beaten in, and Aguero was key to that, even though he didn't score. If I remember right, most of the goals came late on - but fully deserved. Hazard was very good as well, very hard to contain him and we did incredibly well to get a 1-1.
