  1. Mitrovic looks like has some issues. Way too rash, he's got to clear that up in his game, otherwise he'll be back to Belgium before he knows it.
  2. I think it was discovered that this source was trash.
  3. Celtic fans are having their own meltdown on hearing that news.
  4. I think WBA have got the better end of the deal there.
  5. That's not what it was though, was it. Up to £20m based on lots of improbable clauses, according to Pearce, the WBA chairman.
  6. Craig Foy ‏@CraigFoySNSPix 20m20 minutes ago On yer bike! Virgil Van Dijk sits out of training as the #Celtic squad prepare for tomorrow's match v #StJohnstone Celtic Football Club, Celtic Gossip, SPFL and 2 others
  7. Tbh, given the fact that a goal for them didn't really change a great deal, we still needed a goal, then I don't see why we didn't go for broke from the start. There was no need to be conservative. This wasn't Barcelona, this was FC Midtjyland.
  8. I don't understand this theory to be honest. So, we don't want to be in Europe so we can have the best crack at the PL to make sure we get Europe next year? We should have just embraced it, enjoyed it, shouldn't have ever feared it. This sort of thing isn't a regular occurrence for clubs like us, I hoped I'd see us make more of a fist of it as the likes of Boro, Fulham, Stoke and Swansea have done in the past. Who knows when the next opportunity will come. This one was flaming 12 years and 2 relegation's in the waiting.
  9. I get what he's saying. You don't need to be a ''Le Tiss'' style player to be a key component of a side. He was an incredibly gifted midfielder. The difference he has made to Utd has been telling, but the commentators are seemingly focused on how well Blind and Smalling have done - and not realising what is in front of them. He had terrific positional sense, ran a hell of a lot of miles - almost always our highest distance performer - and it just gave everyone else that little bit of time, an extra 1 or 2 seconds, which makes a difference.
  10. That is seemingly happening, last season didn't happen. That way they can jump back on their views from last July and proclaim they were right all along, when the fact is they were wrong and still are wrong. Never mind.
  11. Out they come.
  12. His game was perfect for the high press and quick release of the ball, which has seemingly been discarded now.
  13. At least they got to the group stage and did Valencia 3-0 on their own turf.
  14. This is where we need you mate, you saved us last season from the mire, so we need you to come to the fore now more than ever.
  15. Well they shouldn't be booed, that's for sure. A subdued welcome I imagine, which will hopefully be increased when we start scoring goals on Sunday.
  16. It looked a hell of a lot worse mate! The comments from Koeman were the most concerning.
  17. We look pretty blunt tbh, but it's not helped by the lack of balance from the flanks. It will come eventually, but unfortunately not in time for what we really wanted.
  18. This. Could have been a once in a generation opportunity. The league comes round every year, the FA Cup comes round every year, for clubs like us European football comes round after a very, very good season which we won't always have.
  19. I don't buy the relegation ********, that's just over-emotional rubbish. But you cannot fail to be disappointed by tonight, I think you'll be in the minority if you don't care about Europe. What else is there for us? This was going to be a great experience up to Christmas, potentially further, but to not even get to the group stage is a bit of a mess. Just don't feel we'll be back at this stage for a long time, and you just have to wonder what else is there to hope for if we don't want to play in Europe?
  20. Lallana/Lambert/Guly/Chappers would have given that team a much bigger game, I'm sure. Sad.
  21. Yes, the absences have come at the wrong time for us. But the guys we had out there should have been enough to see off FCM. I don't think we'll see the true team until after the internationals. Not sure what to expect on Sunday.

    Koeman out!

To be fair, we haven't tried the same stunt. We lost Morgan, which was always going to happen. We got one more season out of him, but he was always going to go. Everyone knew it, the club knew it. Clyne was the same really, kind of expected as he only had 1 year left - but we did seem confident for a bit, will be interesting to know what changed. (Lallana, probably). I think our losses last season were eased by the fact we still had the spine of Fonte, Clyne, Morgan. We don't have a 'spine' as yet, I'm sure it will come, but I'd say the impact of Morgan and Clyne over the course of the season was as important as the new guys - if not more.
  23. To be fair, Caulker was never a replacement for Toby. He's cover for the injured Gardos. Hard to judge Clasie given that he hasn't played for us yet.
  24. Nah, he was still a rock when Toby was out last year (which was quite a bit tbf). He just looks totally off his game.
