  1. He hasn't, really. He's basically said there's no intention to sell, but he said the same last year re: lovren/lallana/shaw etc
  2. Balls. Had a feeling that was the end when he walked off last weekend. He's been a joy to watch these last 6 years.
  3. Morgan is too good for them. He said he didn't want to spend Wednesday/Tuesday nights watching the Champions league anymore, so why would he sideways move to Spurs? As he'd still be watching it on the TV. I just think he's much more ambitious than that. If they're the only team interested, he should re-new his contract with us, with a release clause if a CL team comes in - and we go from there. MP is under serious pressure next year by the way, I think fans have kind of accepted some of the results this season as a ''bedding in'' period.....but they will expect a lot more next year.
  4. I don't think that's true, if it carries on over the next 2/3 seasons, then maybe...but we have 4 places next year.
  5. Lallana looked pants last night when he came on, totally ineffective.
  6. Although I agree with what you said MLG, I can't quite agree with the Clyne remark. Chambers and Clyne were pretty much on level terms in the pecking order, and MP did seem to prefer Chambers.
  7. I really, really feel sorry for Rickie. I genuinely think he went there with the confidence that he could add something, and why wouldn't he think that. I didn't begrudge him his move as it's a proper story, but how Rogers has used and treated him is nothing short of a total disgrace. He hasn't got a clue how to utilize him. He's sat on the bench every single game, whilst Balotelli tries to imitate a footballer and occasionally they don't actually play with a striker - it's so harsh on the lad, he could have offered a lot if he was used correctly. It just seems that the only times he'll get on is when they are chasing a game in the closing stages, with the single tactical genius idea of ''HIT IT LONG''. His game is so much more than that, and after this season I don't know if he's ever going to be the same Rickie we knew ever again. Well done Rogers, you incompetent baffon.
  8. He's had a good season to be fair and would still be a good addition. Lol @ Sunderland being spoken about as a potential destination though, they'd be lucky to get Jos.
  9. If Cech becomes avaliable there will be plenty of clubs ahead of the queue before us, notably Arsenal who could - at long last - have a decent GK.
  10. MP knew he was off from the moment Nicola walked out. Unfortuatley at that time last year we had a lot of new people in the board room, and I still to this day believe MP played on their inexperience a bit and took them for a bit of a ride. I don't think he ever had any intention to stay once NC had gone, but he just kept us hanging for months which made our pre-season even harder. This year we thankfully have a structure in place and a plan.
  11. If he's coming here with the premise of being a first choice for a decent amount of time, then it could work.
  12. Interesting gif on there from Gobern, did he forget he was playing football?? That looks so much worse now than when I remember it. Wonder what he's up to these days....probably a black belt by now.
  13. Windows is probably the expert on this, but they look well stocked with Verrati, Pastore, Matudi and Cabaye. I wonder if we'll have the situation of no club actually making any decent bids for him, again.
  14. Before I even read the article I wasn't surprised by it's content, going by the name of the site. The battle of the new forest....coming to a South Coast near you! (but Mind the horses and ponys)
  15. Well that's interesting, if not a little unfair on Toby.
  16. I reckon it could be Maarten Steklenburg. Just purely because he's dutch! and available, and experienced with a good pedigree!
  17. He's not going to go to Spurs, he wants CL football. I think he admires MP and MP admires him....but as you said..Man City could be an option, and what makes Morgan especially attractive to English clubs is his ''home-grown'' status.... I don't think he'll go to Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool or Spurs.....so in this country, it's between City and Arsenal IMO. I don't think anywhere else is a sensible move.
  18. Yep, impossible to call.....I reckon we'll lose at least one of those, but at least we're not going to be playing sides who sit back with 10 behind the ball.
  19. QPR at home this w/e for Liverpool.
  20. It was a good offside trap, it was just that Balotelli didn't want to join in.
  21. Holloway's not in charge of them anymore, he lost his job aggges ago. I think Neil Harris is the manager.
  22. I think everyone's fixtures are tricky tbh, playing the teams down there scrapping at this stage is always tricky and it always throws up dodgy results - so I don't see us having an easy run at all. But....given how the fixtures play out, if........IF.....we win the next 2, I think we've got one foot in fifth, as that should create a little gap. (given that Liverpool are away at Chelsea, Spurs play Stoke away next w/e, and City this weekend)
  23. And still some people think he can do a job for us...!! The quicker he goes back to South America the better for all concerned
  24. Fair play Hull. Sunderland look in big, big trouble if they fail on Saturday. Sets the game up...!
