  1. I must admit I had no idea about this until a few days ago, I must be out of the loop. Along with thousands of others.
  2. He's an excellent player. I think he's only got a couple of years left at Chelsea, and obviously he's not going to play there. I reckon we could get him, and he'd be such a Les Reed signing. Can see this happening.
  3. Great servant and club captain for us, but an extremely massive weak link in a premier league team. Thankfully we only have 4 more games to play. People saying that Forster was no better than Davis and that Forster is a L1 keeper need to get their heads out of their arses. Our defensive record this season owes a lot to Forster.
  4. I'm pretty sure, in fact 90% sure, that the drone in question is used to beam back the overhead TV Shots for BT Sport (which they used a lot during the game and morning)
  5. No idea why people get so upset about this. They've obviously concentrated on the battle at the bottom, some huge results today down there and that is a lot more interesting for general neutral viewing, as opposed to the battle to finish 6th. Good game as it was, they've gone with a general theme tonight by the looks of things.
  6. There's a pressure either way, but this is a better sort of pressure for them. It should push them over the line.
  7. Still think it's on for 5th, given Liverpool's result today. Certainly not out of the question. In theory we could win the next 3, who knows.
  8. But as we know from our MP time, his teams do have lots of the ball - but it's often non-threatening possession.
  9. It should be a win, let's be honest. I'd be so so so gutted at anything less. Sunderland are horrifically bad, there's no dressing that up. If we can get Mane up close to Pelle again, then they will take the awful O'Shea and the joke Vergini to the cleaners. I guess though, it's the end of the season and odd-result time....but if we play at anywhere close as we did today or at Stoke, then we'll win.
  10. I think that's fair, obviously it will be highlighted hugely because of the glaring misses, but as I have nothing else to do on a Saturday night this week (go me!) I watched some of the game back, and his tactical and discipline in the middle was good. He used the ball well when he had it, apart from the shots! I do think he has dipped recently though. He's not as consistently reliable as he used to be.
  11. Harsh on Villa, they've looked very good these last few weeks - but today's results have plunged them straight back in it.
  12. Yep, congrats Watford. Deserve it. I think Deeney will score goals in the PL, he looks like a really good all-round player. Huge for Bournemouth on Monday, it could be the ultimate party.....or the ultimate throw away! I hope they do it to be honest, would be a great story. That league is total value for money though.
  13. He's better when he's got someone buzzing around and playing off of him - i.e Mane. He played very close to Pelle today and I felt it helped his game a lot. There have been a lot of games this season where Mane has been hugging the touchline and Pelle has been left totally isolated. He did have a poor patch, but that wasn't just down to Pelle - I just don't think we were creating enough around him. He's not a world beater or a mega-player, but he's a good player who will put the ball in the back of the net more often than not.
  14. I wouldn't stretch to disappointing, frustrating maybe, but not disappointing. I had a great afternoon, terrific entertainment in my opinion. 2 teams going for it in the right way. Played in a good spirit and at a high tempo - if there was going to be a winner it was likely to be us, but in the grand scheme of it a draw isn't the end of the world, what with Liverpool dropping points today. In reality, nothing has changed, which was the next best thing to winning today.
  15. Nah, 7th is pretty much done. Swansea have still got to play City and Arsenal. The only chance they'd really have is if we lost every single game.
  16. Dominic O'Caollai: Never said it before, but it's time Brendan Rodgers is sacked. Awful team selection and even worse substitutions. Steven Gerrard is done. All is not well in scouse land...
  17. No one has mentioned it, but what a **** day this could be for Villa! After all their heroics recently...
  18. lol wtf @ the championship. I'm not even going to attempt to keep up with it now. Who knows what's going on.
  19. Haven't they had something like 4 managers this season? They always had a good bunch of players there though. I like their strike force.
  20. Well that should be that for any lingering top 4 hopes ourselves, Spurs or Liverpool had. Fight for 5th is on.
  21. The last weekend in the NPC is going to be epic...
  22. Not 10, but between 5-10 goals. We need a threat from the AMC position. Look at Sigurdson at Swansea for e.g, think that's his 7th or 8th from AMC.
  23. Mane too lightweight? He holds off defenders he shouldn't have a chance against, nips the ball past them and creates openings. He is our best attacking player, by a mile. Teams don't know how to deal with him. Yes, he goes down too easily at times and is creating a bit of a reputation. Hopefully he can curb that as he matures, but he's an absolutely fantastic attacking player for us.
  24. The worry for them is that the teams below them are closing, they are playing with fight, belief and confidence. Newcastle look shot. I think anyone would fancy their chances against them right now. Maybe Jammat and Krul will be cheaper than we think!
  25. Maybe newcastle fans should be thanking Pard's? As if it wasn't for him getting the results earlier on this season, they would already be down and out. To be fair, they are looking in bad way. In real trouble right now.
