Even though he was **** today, to even suggest he's got to go, when he's not even made double figures of appearances for us, sums up the modern-day football fan.

Just like clockwork. No idea why you do it to yourself, it's like a constant need to make yourself look stupid on the internet. Weird.

I'd say that was quite an incredible knee jerk, but hey ho.
-
Yeah, I'm struggling to work that out as well.

Yeah, our attacking play left a lot to be desired today. Toothless is a word I'd use! However, he didn't really make any clever runs or attempt to hold the ball up. You can complain about not getting the service, but he's got to put in a shift himself, which he didn't do today. Doubt he's even sweating.

First half, we got an early goal from an error. Suited us in terms of our tactics and shocked Chelsea, they actually stuttered for the rest of the 1st half and you felt that Essien was just not quite at the level. We still didn't make enough of it though, apart from the goal we should have put more attacking moves together. 2nd half is one to forget though, utter fodder. Although Chelsea did step it up, and putting Ba up top gave them an outlet. But we started making mistakes, the defensive was getting moved all over the place and we couldn't play a pass what so ever. Quite a depressing 2nd half really, certainty the worst for a long, long time. Especially with the news that Brouc looks like being out for a while, and I wouldn't expect Morgan to be available for midweek. Given that we're 1 card away from losing Wanyama, we're treading a very thin line in that midfield area. Osvaldo infuriated me today, he was complete and utter turd. Didn't hold the ball up, his runs were straight and he barley made their centre backs think. All he seemed to do was give away fouls, argue with players and swear at the referee. He better buck his idea's up to be honest. At least we have a game up again quite quickly, but we will be very much weakened. Quite a rubbish afternoon all told.

This 2nd half is as bad as we've played all season, actually for a long long time. Although Chelsea have stepped it up.
-
He has been utter turd today, it has to be said. Not sure what he's done other than give away fouls.

Hull are on a slippery slide to implosion, I think.

Will give this a go as well I think. Cancelled my AJS sub y/day, was decent when it worked to be honest - although I've heard pretty flawless reviews for star sports....although you'd have to wonder if there servers will now take a battering, from all of us AJS people migrating over...

''The Optimists''. Excellent. Happy clappers was so last year. But I agree, it's bloody hard to be optimistic when we've only managed to get to 7th in the PL within 5 years. Such a hard time being a Saints fan, that's for sure.

Results seem us drop a fair bit over the last few weeks, bit of a shame. But the fixtures have played a part. It's a bit frustrating that we play the likes of Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and Spurs all in close succession.
-
I'm pretty sure all 3 are the same person to be honest!
-
It just seems that most weeks he predicts us to lose, which others have picked up on. I made a comment in jest regarding that. It's nothing dramatic really is it? Not sure why you're getting into a fluster about it. Odd.
-
I wasn't on about just this season
-
If all of his predictions had actually came true over all these months, we'd probably be a million points adrift at the bottom of the league.

Good post.

I never really understand it when things like this are stated, when we've shown no requirement for any money from player sales, why would we be nuts not to take it? We can still improve the side without selling him, and we wouldn't be able to sign anyone even close to his ability, so it's just a hollow £30m really.
-
It's a great article, and some of the preparation is extreme - but it works like a dream and having this sort of level of dedication is the only way clubs like us can sneak in to get success. Porto weren't mega-stars when they won the CL for example, so anything is possible with the right preparation and foundations in place. Although I don't rate our 'long-term' scouting for Forren

People moan about us ''wasting'' money, but spending £27m on Fellani looks like a criminal offence to me. -

Spurs are being utterly trashed. Don't see AVB lasting much longer. Negredo is an absolute class act though, to think he was close to joining Hull 3 years ago. -

Holy ****, how bad do Spurs look. -

Tottenham look awful. Goes to show that buying lots of players doesn't actually work. -
Would imagine Morgan will drop back into Victor's role, and Davis will come in place of him. JWP will probably play Morgans role, and Davis the AMC. Midfield is one area we really don't have to worry about depth wise.
