I understand the point you make, which you make well, i think concern as a Saints fan was that we'd only won 2 of our last 16 or 17 games, understandably people had stopped looking up the table and started looking down. Fulham play Villa before we play again, if they fail to win that the commentators might stop mentioning us in connection with the drop.

Agree it was a good game to watch , Fulham missed some good chances during the period they were on top (to be fair Leeds keeper made some good saves) . I wouldn't say Fulham look doomed but they are running out of games, 8 left of which only 3 at home, key for them is to stay within 3 points of Newcastle who they play last game of the season, if they can do that still in their hands.

Decent side Zagreb, good seeing teams from Croatia, Czech Republic into the last 8, makes a change.

Why would it matter if he wasn't? If those who are worried have the jab they don't need to worry about him do they. People like to scoff and patronise with flippant comments about conspiracy theories, I don't doubt that covid is real but there's plenty about this pandemic that just does not make sense, 3 week lockdown to "protect the NHS" still a year on, businesses destroyed, national debt sky high, nothing wrong questioning the motives of WEF etc. The Great Reset, Build Back Better. He's still number one Saints legend.

Well said mate. Even in the Prem the club is scaling back , closing the club shop in West Quay and therefore abandoning town centre presence, plus they've stopped producing a match day programme. Plus look at the shambles of the commercial department with a sponsor that didn't exist and replica shirts they couldn't sell. Back to the Bournemouth game, sounds like they'll need to have some youngsters on the bench. https://twitter.com/TomCrockerEcho/status/1372474241925402628?s=20

Yeah so 8 or 9 first teamers reporting back just a couple of days before the Burnley game, not ideal. Even Jankewitz could be away with the Swiss u21s
-
Minamino is also cup tied. With Ings and Walcott injured as well we're not exactly spoilt for choice up front. I'd think it's a certainty that Redmond will play. 5 subs still allowed in cup games?
-
7 players out if you include Shane Long according to this. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/19165762.amp/?__twitter_impression=true Gutted we're not going down there, would have had a few more tickets for once.
-
That Danjuma looks quality for them, just looked him up , plays for Holland and cost nearly £14M, with him and Solanke up front (£19M) they've got a more expensive forward line than we have!
-
Bournemouth playing some really good stuff so far this evening comfortably beating Swansea. We've got to remember no VAR so stop defending set pieces with a high line hoping to catch their early runners offside.
-
Ralph won't be pleased about that, every time Armstrong goes on duty he comes back injured, with Ings out and Adams away for the 2 weeks it won't help preparation for the Burnley game. But can't blame Adams, he'll score the winner for the Tartan Army at Wembley this summer.

Fulham will play twice before we play again in the league (Leeds and Villa) Newcastle play once (Brighton) Results from those games are huge, if we turn up to The Burnley game only 3 or 4 points from the drop I'm not sure our mentally fragile squad will be able to handle the pressure.
-
Palace is semi final weekend so if we get through no sure when we'll play them. My hope is if we sneak through by the time the semi comes around we'll have Ings and Walcott back and fortunes would have changed to give us a chance.
-
True, they really really hate us, we've got to win just so they don't get the pleasure of celebrating what they'd see as one of the greatest days in their history beating the scummers to get to Wembley
-
Radhi Jaidi? Theo Walcott player manager? Nigel Adkins?
-
Not too bothered about the social media , but agree there is not a premier league standard footballer there, not going to be one for the future.
-
Agree with that, if he goes need a clear out of all first team coaches including Watson and Kelvin Davis.
-
Will very much depend on which division we're in to see who we can attract, Nigel Pearson?
-
I think Lallana having more physical presence than our midfield sums it up really. We hardly won any of the 50/50s, too weak physically and mentally.
-
That never seems to work in our favour, we just look knackered a anyway. Strange game, should be really looking forward to it, local derby 1/4 final and chance to get to Wembley but everything feels so flat at saints at the moment. Minamino cup tied, Ings, Walcott and Romeu important injuries for us still. Week preparation should help, Bournemouth have been very poor recently and are falling away from promotion race, massive game for them on Tuesday v Swansea. Even if we get through hard to be that excited with tough opponents waiting, just like when we got to the semi in 2018 the shiteness of the Saints team led to mass apathy towards the Chelsea semi final.
-
It's going to be close!
-
I'd agree with that, Adams having a run of scoring one positive. Tella and Minamino both ineffective, Armstrong looked knackered. Defence disorganised, Forster disappointing for the first goal I boo'd them off at the end.
-
Fulham v Leeds Brighton v Newcastle Couple of games of interest next weekend. I still feel we won't be much above the drop come the end of May,
-
We might stumble over the line, but if the season went on much longer we'd be nailed on relegation candidates
-
I think even Ralph knows it. Just got to hope we can stagger over the line to safety.
