  1. I'm sure I remember you telling me you'd invested in some of that mate, any truth in the rumour that you're part of a consortium looking to buy Saints with crypto currency?
  2. Got to rest KWP if any doubt , keep him for the semi final
  3. Only a matter of time before the govt ban it , will go the same way as tobacco advertising eventually.
  4. Makes me laugh it says more than the £7.5M per year LD Sports paid, did we ever get any money from that business that didn't even exist? Good thing for the club to just get as much money as possible in the current climate. As a betting firm they're not allowed to put that on kids shirts sold anyway, and any adults who would rather not advertise it but still want a shirt go for the Hummel 1987 ones just released with the good old Draper Tools sponsor.
  5. WBA seem like a team we've done well against in recent years, pretty sure we won up there twice last time they were up (including cup game) , they are also the only club to have conceded more goals than us in the league this season, between us it's something like 112 goals conceded so get your money on a 3-3 draw.
  6. They do seem open to selling their star players , strange set up as Wolves were on course to join the top 8, stadium expansion as well adding infrastructure. Who else in the Premier league is owned by the Chinese?
  7. WBA have to beat us to have any chance of survival and will be confident after beating Chelsea 5-2. Should help us if that means we can get more space and target their defence. Ralph might be tempted to make a couple of changes with the semi final in mind.
  8. It was a great win, so rare for us to come back in games even at one down so to do if at 0-2 even better. 24 attempts at goal and that doesn't even include some of our best chances on the break that didn't materialise in a shot. Having Ings and Walcott back in really helps us, Armstrong was excellent as well, but all three can struggle to maintain it for 90 mins, being able to use our options on the bench at the right time is key. JWP so unlucky with his shot that hitthe bar, would have been a special goal. Beating Burnley earlier in the season kick started a great run of form, hopefully the same again now.
  9. Games at St Mary's against teams who play this style we've often looked slow , ponderous with lack of ideas, then get hit on the break or set piece. Definitely need to get the first goal. Having said that I thought Burnley were excellent away to Everton few weeks ago, played some nice football and took the game to Everton so who knows. I'll go for 1-1

    Danny Ings

Yep in the pre match press conference Ralph seems to laugh at the idea City would want Ings. But does also say if one of the top clubs do offer we struggle to hold on to players.
  11. I thought he talked a lot without actually saying anything. Waffling about doing up concourses and food options but nothing of interest particularly.
  12. Bet you report your neighbours if they have one to many guests round for drinks in the garden.
  13. Seriously comparing Manaus to here is a complete waste of time, plenty of lads went there in the World cup and saw first hand most if it is terrible condition Great post, you're spot on. Selfish lockdown lovers here cheering on the Govt to impose restrictions on people's liberty, loading the country up with astronomical debt that the younger generations will be paying off for the rest of their lives. Once interest rates go up a lot of tax raised will have to go to paying interest and not public services. Damage it's done to kids is just disregarded. Got to stay home, protect the NHS, nothing else gets a look in with the cult of covid. One of the saddest things I've seen was "mascot" experience at Newcastle is basically a zoom call with the players with the kid sat at home and the players walking out of the tunnel holding an iPad. Kids shouldn't have to worry about all this covid anxiety being pressed on them by adults. Back to the football, looks like we'll have to tolerate crazy things for a while longer , SAGE advisors will come up with more fun sapping ideas to control the people.
  14. Lock yourself down mate, knock yourself out sipping on the info dripped to you by behavioural scientists, just leave the rest of us alone will you.
  15. You're spot on, vulnerable are vaccinated, let's crack on. Those too scared welcome to stay at home and lock themselves down, leave the rest of us alone.
  16. The FA's incompetence combined with the government's is probably peak stupidity when it comes to things like this. I've tolerated disruption to work, kids school being closed, no holidays, no pubs, not seeing family and friends for months, but if we somehow make it to the cup final and are not allowed to go instead watching Carol and Abdul from Brent council accounts department in our seats instead i think that will be the last straw for me, Boris, Whitty, Hancock, all the twats at SAGE will be getting strongly worded letters on a daily basis from me.
  17. Every time I revisit this thread I hope to see the news this knee taking nonsense has stopped. Surely it will before the start of next season , no doubt they'll find another way to turn a football match into a political message.
  18. I genuinely would rather it was behind closed doors than invite disinterested residents of Brent council. What the fuck will they learn from that, complete nonsense. Let in people who actually care about the game, 4000 in an 90000 stadium there's no risk at all. Seems no end to this nonsense.

    Injury Watch

Perhaps, but you don't need to return this afternoon to do that, he could have stayed with the squad on the bench to be part of the match day and returned home this evening, doesn't seem right to me. Still a few days until Sunday. Assume Armstrong and Adams travel back together tomorrow, Bednarek this evening, Vestergaard didn't play for Denmark should travel back tomorrow, Minamino should be on his way back from Japan. Hopefully plenty of options for the Burnley game.
  20. No way would he return if he didn't have a minor knock, it would have only been a few more hours and time on the bench for England. Hopefully he's fine, good that Armstrong is on the bench for Scotland as he struggles with too many games. Just need Adams and Bednarek to avoid injury. Adams got to be looking for a goal to make his mark against the Faroes.
  21. Yeah we could do with him playing in at least some of the Burnley and WBA games as he's cup tied so need others available for Wembley.
  22. Finished Mongolia 0 -14 Japan. Minamino only got the one goal. Not a great year to be a Saints and Mongolia fan.

  24. There was estimated 50k Saints fans taking into account club Wembley purchased etc, surely a record for number of Saints fans in attendance for a single game, I doubt that will ever be beaten either. You look at some of the players who featured we had a good side for that level, Kelvin Davis, Dan Harding, José Fonte, Radhi Jaidi (Chris Perry 90), Joseph Mills, Michail Antonio, Paul Wotton (David Connolly 84), Dean Hammond (c), Adam Lallana, Papa Waigo N’diaye (Simon Gillett 75), Rickie Lambert.
