The last few games of the season were awful which distorted people's views of the season overall but I agree the spoilt brat fans who stayed and booed were pathetic, if you didn't enjoy it just leave like thousands of others did. It was a lap to finish the season, one that had seen us win at home to Inter Milan, a cup run winning at the Emirates and Anfield, a cup final we played really well in plus bad injuries to some key players, I think given all that Puel did a decent job. He wasn't perfect but I don't think Pellegrino is any better.

yes tubes and buses usually run (was a Sunday service last time) but over line doesn't. Plenty going on in London on boxing day so transport infrastructure supports that.

I thought it was a decent game, especially considering the conditions and it was WBA at home , looked like it would be a case of same old story missed chances and poor final ball into the box. Great goal from Boufal, I still wouldn't play him in same side as Tadic so if any changes next week I'd drop Tadic to the bench. The number of wallies doing sarcastic cheers for Forster making a save and booing Redmond did my head in. Support at other points was decent, very loud OWTS after we scored.

There's currently 100 tickets left and I'd expect them to go tomorrow morning when they go on sale to members. They haven't put the restricted view ones on sale yet, but I don't count those as the view is so bad from some they shouldn't be allowed to sell them. Surely we'll take 3000 for Chelsea this year, we've shown we can sell that same number for Palace easily so that should be an easy decision for ticket office to make.

Is there any news on West Brom keepers injury progress?
-
weather is awful in Southampton already, if game goes ahead and is like this later could make the game a lottery . Every high cross into the box will swirl around in the wind.
-
We'll take the full allocation just short of 3000. Even if some of the away regulars give this a swerve there will be plenty more who fancy a Christmas day out to Wembley. its quite an easy game to drive to, park up at somewhere like Uxbridge and get the tube from there. Remember Virgin did a couple of deals for our fans last year inc free coaches for Man Utd away, will be interesting to see if they do that again. Games like Man City away midweek where we'd take a very small following.

It is , but they flyer really doesn't make it clear. If you buy a ticket for BURNLEY at home you can also get one for WBA half price. There's also the offer that members can get £5 off ticket for two games of their choice this season . I think we'll comfortably see the smallest league crowd so far this season on Saturday as WBA won't bring many so there'll be a couple of blocks of the Northam empty.

It's true we didn't sell out in the cup semi final (appalling effort) but still had about 3500 there I think, in the league we only took 990 allocation for a Sunday lunchtime game on sky that did sell out, including the ridiculous restricted view seats at the back that they should not be allowed to sell. It does annoy me with Saints that we generally always take a lot more to Liverpool than we do to Everton which gives an indication of how many day trippers you get. Games with no glamour like Burnley we're lucky to sell 1000 for.

It is going to be an awful game of football, two of the dullest teams to watch, 0-0 or 1 goal wins it I reckon, at least being a 5.30 Saturday evening game the crowd might be a bit livelier to create some atmosphere.

We are generous, biggest away allocation in the prem combined with the cheapest tickets at £20 can see why Southampton away was voted most popular away day last season. Even Spurs at Wembley this season give the minimum to away fans. Most of our sell out games come just the day before the game so it's not like demand is so high there's any rush to buy, surprises me how few fans know about / use the ticket exchange when they can't make it.

It's very annoying how late they are taking to announce these games, last year we were due to play Spurs on 26th but instead played on 28th. Could really do with knowing when that will be along with the Man Utd game as if both of those move for tv will probably have a knock on effect for Palace at home as well, makes it difficult making plans for that week but as we all know by now they don't give a stuff about the match going fan.

The Archers Road end was brilliant for the last few years at The Dell, great atmosphere, whole end stood, low roof, really got behind the team especially when we were struggling in relegation battles. St Marys has never been quite the same but especially now we could do with an "end" like that.

On the subject of losing interest I think this is an interesting and fair article - https://amp.theguardian.com/football/when-saturday-comes-blog/2017/oct/09/relegation-premier-league-championship-swansea-city

No idea if this will make any difference, would be great if Shelvey was out though. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/4631149/newcastle-crisis-jonjo-shelvey-jamaal-lascelles-mo-diame/

We've done well against Newcastle over the years and could really do with the 3 points now , will be a tough game. No way would I play Boufal and Tadic together, that just doesn't work. I heard Bertrand might have picked up a back injury on England duty? Newcastle sold out their 3300 allocation so should be a decent atmosphere.

Think you've posted on the wrong thread here, a wall collapsing in France has nothing to do with safe standing.
-
I stand corrected, Wembley back on the cards..
-
We clearly aren't remotely interested in progressing in this competition, putting out much weaker sides than we did last season. Another cup competition exited at the first hurdle? Thought about going tonight but decided against it.
-
watching Everton they reminded me of Saints a bit, really lacking up front. makes me laugh when people described them as "winning the transfer window".
-
Agree, I said after Wolves at home that we'll struggle this season and have seen nothing to make me change my mind. Dull to watch, create very little , not much enjoyment for our fans this season.
-
We play Everton after a Europa league Thursday in November so fingers crossed they'll be desperate for the win and play a full strength side before travelling down to play us. I'll always remember our dreadful performance is Midgetland as a low point of the Koeman era, Everton fans did not sound at all pleased tonight.
-
I agree with that, the fact we sold out 3005 for Brighton away already which is a Sunday lunchtime TV game is quite impressive. Compare that to a team like West Brom who take smallest allocations to even local away games.

He'd probably sneak into their dressing room and seek asylum.

Looks like we've got quite a few travelling up for this, original ticket news said allocation was 2300, blocks 40 and 41 sold out and about 230 tickets left at the back of block 42. Decent numbers, hopefully atmosphere good as well.
