It is rubbish and will be inconvenient but it won't take that much longer adding on a bus to be worth missing the game for? It's disgraceful how long it takes to get from London to Southampton on weekends recently for a journey that should be possible in 75 mins. What makes this worse is that the journey planner on national rail wasn't recognising the engineering work until yesterday so plenty of people would have planned their journey assuming normal service, Arsenal fans might struggle to make kick off.

Yes it's very nice there, and if you can't get a table there's always the Giddy Bridge around the corner open early for a full English and a pint (in fact probably one of the few pubs in town open before midday on a Sunday )
-
Sunday midday kick off, will be a quiet atmosphere for this one I think. Game almost sold out with 3300 coming from Arsenal, I saw a sign at Southampton central station last night saying it will be closed on Sunday with bus replacements from various places like Brockenhurst / Eastleigh / Southampton Airport parkway. Not sure they've thought that through as trains will be much busier than a normal Sunday morning, hope they have enough buses on.

If demand is there Fulham generally allow the away team to have the whole end behind the goal and don't bother with a neutral section. If tickets are cheap I think we'll take a lot, although we do have 3000 going to Chelsea and Spurs in the next few weeks and tickets made it down to anyone on the database for those so not sure we'd take much more to Fulham.

I've heard "stop funding hate" are targeting advertisers in the match programme now.

I think they were originally just called Boscombe, then Bournemouth & Boscombe then just Bournemouth. As for the game, disappointing first half half, good saves by Forster, much better second half but still lots of room for improvement, 4 points from 9 still seems disappointing this week having taken Man City all the way and dominated 2nd half yesterday.

Hereford away if they still have a decent terrace for away fans. If not them then Newport or Forest Green to tick one of those grounds off.

It's a complete joke they even took him to court, let alone gave him a 3 year ban. Just another reminder for me why I'm gradually giving up going to games, the state of football / this country does my head in.

We won at home to Palace last year. Very tough run of games, got to look for points at Bournemouth , Leicester, Huddersfield games plus you never know with Arsenal, think they've already lost 4 away this season. Likewise Spurs home form is unpredictable , they can look very good but failed to beat some of the lesser teams at Wembley

Bloke next to me said Everton were the worst team he'd seen at St Marys since the 8-0 Sunderland game, couldn't really argue with that, they were so unbelievably poor.

City must be looking at the league the this morning with their 8 point lead at the top and home games to come this week against us and West Ham and think what a chance to extend their lead and virtually wrap up the title before Christmas. Just hope they are complacent and we take some inspiration from the fact Everton got a point there earlier in the season. I doubt any of us are expecting anything so pressure is off in some ways , especially after yesterday's win, Bournemouth much bigger game on Sunday.

I'm hoping we are waiting to be the first to have a gender neutral player.

I think Bernarek was brought in to replace Gardos but we weren't able to off load him (Gardos our £5M international defender) we have wasted an eye watering amount of money in the last few years.
-
I've seen quite a few adverts in the echo for this as well, not surprising people would rather watch at home if at all. Everton are bringing down the full 3309 allocation to boost the attendance a bit.
-
Is Romeu suspended? Quite likely Lemina will still be out so we could have a Ward-Prowse / Davis / Hoiberg combo. Everton have looked unorganised when I've seen them this season but they have started scoring goals, surely not another home game without us scoring? If that happens the Pellegrino out / Les Reed out / Chinese out chants will be deafening

About 500 or so left for Chelsea so members will get a chance on Monday, we'll still sell the 3008 tickets easy enough now it's £30 instead of the £50 that it used to be. Mad to think we ever paid that. I reckon we've sold about 800 tickets for Man City so far, hopefully we get 1000 up there at least, lower tier particularly empty at the moment.
-
I'd luck us to be drawn away, could be a good earner for a local non league outfit even if a few hundred paying customers turn up. Saints v Sholing in the final , fill St Marys and get some silverware in the cabinet, success breeds success and all that.
-
They had said he hoped to be available after the international break but I don't think he's appeared in any training ground pics yet so doesn't look good. Hopefully there will be an update in press conference tomorrow. Such an important player for us. Our record at Anfield isn't that bad since we got promoted back up to Premier league but I'm not looking forward to this one at all.
-
It's an odd one, he doesn't look that bothered but could just be reading body language wrongly. Bertrand has 19 England caps now, a decent tally and he's bound to get some more in build up to the World Cup. I think he had one or two of those caps before joining us but even still - who was the last player to win that many caps whilst a Saints player? My guess would be Shilton.
-
Was anyone at the game? Would be interesting to know if any individual performances stood out, based on the scorers it looks like Hesketh's comeback from injury is going well, how did McCarthy do in goal? Shame to be knocked out as this group of players are going to get very few opportunities with the first team squad so it was a chance for them to get some exposure. Jaidi does not convince me as a coach.

It all started going wrong when we started spending future income on transfer fees and salaries or Gaston Ramirez and Dani Osvaldo, then having to later make changes to pay off some of those liabilities.
-
completely agree, a lot of animosity has built up now towards Liverpool FC and to have the record we had against them last season was brilliant, no goals conceded and a semi final win absolutely magic. I can't see us making a repeat of it this time, someone mentioned Lallana and Mane may be ready to return from injuries after international break, I hope they don't. Liverpool won't even be distracted by needing to rest players for the Champions league as they're virtually already through in that.
-
Remember when Les Reed predicted Forster and Mccarthy would go to the World Cup http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/alex-mccarthy-over-moon-after-8542285

Yes can't see him being available for this one, that would allow him not to be included in Gabon's squad and have a couple more weeks recovery here during the international break ready to return hopefully for Liverpool away after that.

I'd say that this game is a must win if we're going to stay in touch with European places. Burnley have completely transformed their away form from last season and now look well organised and very difficult to beat. Fingers crossed Wood is still out injured for them. I thought they'd struggle with the excellent Heaton out injured but it doesn't seem to have had much impact. Can't imagine they'd let Dyche leave now without a fight, not much they can do if he resigns I suppose.
