The people recently running Saints have not exactly been experts have they? Football is all about opinions and this is a fans message board where people post them on. No one is saying they wont give the new manager a chance. Most people have stated doubts about Wotte's managerial record and the football served up towards the end of season.

Tevez is no great loss according to Manure fans i know, he works hard but has a poor first touch and no pace. Giggs has had his best season in years in a different role hence why he was voted player of the year. Ronaldo will win nothing at Real Madrid no matter how many attacking players they buy they will still be poor in defence and 2nd best to Barca and alot of other teams in the champions league.

Wotte could not inspire Saints to beat many teams who had nothing to play for towards the end of last season and the tactics seemed to be hoofing it long ball. There are many better managers who know players in this league and lower leagues who would do a better job. Anyone who comes out with quotes about Ryan Smith having world class skills is a fool.

Wright is actually a very good passer of the ball and one of the few Saints players in recent years who could take a corner. It is not possible to be slower or less skillful than Wotton.

2 centre halves as Perry can't be expected to play whole season and Only Thomas left. Lancashire is not good enough IMO. Midfield will look very weak if as expected Euell, Surman, Lallana leave. Leaving only Gillett who is good enough. Wotton will still be way to slow for League 1 and Holmes will still be injured and highly rated by some due to a couple of decent displays early last season. Strikers who can score goals and have a physical presence required. Paterson may be ok but not proven. DMG will probably leave to get relegated with Forest. Saints need to get their scouting network in order and get some promising/talented strikers from league 2 and below like other teams seem to do.

With KP not playing there were no big hitters in the team so seems silly to leave Dimi and Napier out???? As much as he was poor in alot of games like the rest of the team he still has more talent and potential than any other midfield player at the club. People comparing the over rated injury prone Holmes to him is laughable.

Read an interview with Gareth Southgate recently when he mentioned being on Saints books same time as Shearer when he was a youngster but was released at a young age before ending up at Palace. David Moyes was interviewed by Lowe for the managers job once but wanted to (like any manager would) to bring his backroom coaching staff with him and Lowe insisted on keeping Stuart Gray as coach :-(
