We didn't play pretty elegent stuff today and hit too many long balls. Also Lallana and Morgan played well today. Would you rather we played Wotton?

Good day out with pre match beers in the The Griffin and Rugby club and thought the support was decent today. Saints domintated the game as usaul without actually creating clear cut chances. Player ratings Davis - 6 not much to do but would rather he was not Saints playmaker. James 5 given a hard time and not convincing defensively or with passing. Harding 6 solid and always made himself available Jahidi 7 solid and came up with vutal goal Trottman 7 looked solid and composed Mellis 7 seemed to get a bit of stick but i thought it was his best game and unlucky not to score. Morgan 7 looked classy at times but needs to be more assertive going forward. Hammond 6 not as impressive as recent games. Mills 6 bit lighweight and poor crosses, Lallana 8 tried hard and was was most creative player on pitch Lambert 7 won lots in air and held ball up well but needs better service.
