When? name the game please? Last time i saw him play as a sub at Birmingham he was rubbish. Saints were effectively playing with ten men when he came on. Previously saw him on right wing at home to Reading when being in the Itchen stand i and many others witnessed his useless display.

The most worrying comment for me was Wotte bigging up the useless Ryan Smith. Hope this does not mean a first team recall for him.

Has returned to Hull after loan at Oldham and is not entitled to play for another premier league club because of loan rules. Get him in on loan please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he would give us some much needed physical presence and goals in this league.

There are thousands of players better than Wotton and Smith. If the people in charge this club can't find them or don't want to then they should go. Crouch paid for Wright on loan last season which saved us from relegation. Every other relegation rival is strengthening their squads/teams to try and escape relegation despite financial problems apart from Saints? :-(

Good post and spot on with what happened as i like many others who were there saw it. There was no need for the over reaction from police. A quiet word from an experienced police officer was all that was needed IMO. Maybe it's my age but getting filmed by some kid copper with a camera is intimidation and out of order.

I was nearby and saw a saints fan give the useless ref stick from side of pitch and then get jumped on by police and led away. Over the top reaction IMO.

Just back from game. Two very poor teams and a terrible game with lots of huff and puff and little skill displayed. Saints were up against a hard working home side as well as the ref and the local police/stewards who seemed intent on trying to intimidate aways fans at times. My player ratings. Davis 6 one great save in first half. Thomson 4 poor passing and crossing let him down. Skacel 6 wasted at left back IMO. Saejis 7 another good performance. Perry 6 steady and reliale again. Surman 6 unlucky at end with free kick but needs to impose himself more. McGoldrick 6 some nce touches at times and eventually got in a decent shot after air kicks previously. Gillett 8 another all action display and got stuck in unlike alot of others. Schiederlin 6 some neat touches but no penertration where it mattered. Saga 6 worked hard at times but kept falling/slipping over. Euell 6 won alot of headers before getting injured. Subs BWP 5 Fell over or knocked off ball. Wotton 2 League 2 standard at best. Lallana not enough time to judge.

Does anyone know how come Saints can afford to play Euell, Saga and Rudi now? when earlier in the season we couldn't afford to select them and lost lots of points by selecting 8 or 9 youngsters? Also Saints have never been high wage payers even in the premier league and must have sold nearly 100 players since relegation so not sure where all the money has gone?

Great day that. Lots of Saints fans ****ed on cheap northern beer. Saints and Oldham fans celebrating together with 'we hate pompey' banner. Lots of confused locals wondering why saints fans were wearing arab head dress and seeing a Le Tiss hat trick.
