You might take the **** out his weight etc but he is the type of centre forward needed in this league. He's proved to be an effective striker with Preston, Stoke, Hull etc......where most goals are scored from set pieces.

Alan McLouglan was probably Nicholl's worst buy. Barry Horne a decent signing. Keith Cassells was a poor Lawrie signing. Branflake signed loads of rubbish including, Dixon, Speedie, Wood etc but also decent one's like Monkou and Adams. Souness signed decent players like Egil, Claus, Berkovic but also is best known for Ali Dia and i think he is also responsible for Dryden?

No There was a reason they were not playing last season. Ostlund was being kept out of right back position by Wright which says it all really. I'd welcolme Jermaine Wright back though. At least he could pass unlike Wotton and take a decent corner unlike Surman.

I'd say Adebola was alot more committed than our forwards in giving our defenders a hard time throughout the game. Saints only decided to make an effort too late in the second half.

Why do you continue to defend these players? maybe if you were at the game you would have witnessed a Saints team not that much worse than Bristol City regards ability but a bunch of players who were beaten by a more committed, motivated, fitter, organised team. The story of this season sadly :-(
