  1. Not disagreeing with you on Deeney. But I don't get this obsession with re-sale value. We're a football club, not a football brokerage.
  2. Clearly says that Gao has told Les to do whatever it takes to stop us going down. Good, that's what I want to hear, and it puts to bed, if true, accusations that Gao is just an asset stripper. I reckon Pellegrino is gone before we play Watford. We could sign Messi and he would have him tracking back and passing sideways. Les knows he's going to have to sack the manager.
  3. Heard it all now. Sign a centre-forward, it doesn’t matter if he doesn’t score goals! Some people really are clueless.
  4. Hoesesh*t. Gave us a good few years of challenging at the top and European football.
  5. Surely the mainstream media would be all over this?
  6. I heard the players were giving it the Gareth Hunt behind Pellegrino's back.
  7. Les Reed should be spending 100% of his working day finding us a new manager, and quickly. Not spending time with the players and Mauricio Lame Duck Pellegrino. What the f*ck are him and Ralph up to. F*cking pair of c*nts.
  8. George North didn't take much notice of that!
  9. Utterly moronic ().
  10. Good info Derry. I didn't think balls improved that much until the Mitre Multiplex, I think much later than the fifties/sixties.
  11. David Brent nothing talk. I don't know what else people expect from him though. I wouldn't pay him in shirt buttons.
  12. Jeff Astle headed a really heavy ball for his whole career. The balls nowadays are so much lighter, but whether they can cause damage over a long period, I really don't know.
  13. I didn't know Nicholl had brain damage, how sad. Not surprised though, he would put his head where others wouldn't even put their boots. Absolute beast of a player.
  14. Jeff Astle is indeed a very sad story. But he spent a whole career heading a very heavy laced ball that would get even heavier when wet. The earlier comment regarding concussion of American footballers is a warning to the dangers of head injuries in sport. Those affected players were running into walls in every game they played.
  15. So it is! Must have been that bang in the head I got on Friday.
  16. Phil Thompson was slagging Le Tiss of before the game. I think Channon tore him a new one in the Sky studio after the match .
  17. Seems a daft move to me. Banged his head on Saturday, can't play on Wednesday! We really are a nation of softies. Chris Nicholl wouldn't have played 50 games for us if this was the case back then.
  18. I was there. Gittens has a glass jaw and ended up laid out by the bar, unconscious. Before he went down, he was like Bambi on ice. An absolute tool if ever there was one. I reckon your mum could knock him out.
  19. Jon, do you remember picking a fight with my mate in The Pier and getting knocked spark out with one punch?
  20. Signing a few more experienced players would at least stop the merry-go-round of players looking to move on as soon as we sign them. That can't be good for the squad.
  21. It wasn't that long ago that Klopp was questioning Sturridge's commitment and accused him of crying off of games. Not really what we need.
  22. I think most would be happy for Reed to carry on if he sorted the manager's position out.
  23. Cant understand why he wasn't sacked after the defeat v Spurs then. That was heavy enough, masked by 2 errors from Lloris. If they wanted to, they could have got more than 5.
  24. He's forgotten more about professional football than you know.
