The BBC give me better value for money than Sky do. Match of the Day is still the best football programme on telly. And if the BBC goes private we'll just have another ITV, which is worse than dogsh!t.
I reckon they jumped the gun, thinking that Warnock would take the job and the reported million pound salary being offered.
Hard to see who would be a better fit for them than Clarke.

I keep telling everyone and nobody's listens. I reckon he is a closet Saints fan. He even went to watch us in the 86 semi against Liverpool at White Hart Lane.
I've been saying it for years.
Back in the late 80's/90's, our best players flocked to Italy to earn more money. It might be a little different now, but the best players will still follow the money.
He has as much chance of being President of the USA as Putin.
Just imagine , a Hollywood actor in the White House. It will never happen......
Seriously, he sounds like a bit of a thick c#nt trying really hard to sound intelligent.
West Ham have about 6 quality players.
Unfortunately, they're all centre-forwards and they will probably only play 1 up front.
Noble is their best player. Stop him and we'll win.
The time for shaking hands is after the game, not before. The pre-match handshake is rubbish in my opinion.
Having said that, Evra let himself and his club down yesterday.
