  1. There is no way that this desperate measure by News International will leave nobody for the authorities to pursue.
  2. For anyone who doesn't think Forte was a good signing, remember the MK Dons game that really turned our season. Adkins and Cortese chose not to splash the cash in January because they were confident the squad was good enough for promotion. As a result of this, we have probably got a bigger budget to play with now. For me that shows shrewd judgement. For the more hysterical on here, it shows 'lack of ambition'.
  3. Personally, I don't think Leicester will be all that next season. They'll have a vastly overrated keeper and a vastly overrated striker.
  4. I won't buy anything that Murdoch prints now, and if he takes over Sky i'll chuck that in as well. What has happened is below sick.
  5. I agree with this. Personally, I think standards and respect have fallen a heck of a long way since the 60s.
  6. I have faith in Cortese and Adkins, and there's no point throwing toys out of the pram just because we haven't signed anyone yet. Some people (quite a few), are hysterical at the moment.
  7. You might need a stairlift to get from the 17th to the 18th tee at the Bristol. Apart from that it's a nice course.
  8. You've been in the sun for too long. DOn't judge us from your tax-free work haven in the sun. At least the people you are slagging off pay income tax here.
  9. Would be a decent signing. He could be waiting for other offers though.
  10. I find it quite hard to disagree with that. Management salaries in the public sector are extortionate. I would include teachers though as 'working staff'.
  11. I don't think it matters whether we pulled the plug on the deal, or he just didn't want to move South. Surely the point is that we bid decent money for him.
  12. They went in there and risked their lives to save others, just like any of them would do on any given day. You just insult them.
  13. What a cheap shot. They've been asked to take a 5%pay cut on top of a 2 year pay freeze, and contribute 3% more of their salary to their pension. I don't blame them for not wanting to do the job for f*ck all.
  14. You ignorant pigf*ck. It wasn't long ago that 2 Southampton firefighters lost their lives in a burning flat.
  15. And you probably wouldn't have considered the public sector route years ago when everything was rosy in the private sector. The difference is that others did.
  16. I take it you're taking the p!ss?
  17. Acid is very 1960's, but is obviously still used out there.
  18. Oh no, does this mean Cortese isn't going to sign another striker. (Just getting in there, firmly with tongue in cheek, until some idiot posts it seriously).
  19. This forum is now overrun by spoilt brats.
  20. Ok, then who educates your children, empties your bins, and would risk their life running into a burning building to save the lives of yourself and your family? These people do a decent job for a salary lower than the private sector. They deserve a decent pension. If you work in the private sector and are too stupid to plan for the future then that's your look out.
  21. How do you know that? I bet you used to root around your parents bedroom at the end of October and threw a paddy if you couldn't find any Christmas presents.
  22. The percentage of GDP used to pay the pensions is actually going to lower significantly in years to come because of the deal the teachers signed in 2008, so you're wrong.
  23. It's a free vote, so you make up your own mind.
  24. He said it was wrong of the teachers to strike while they were still in negotiations. A little bit different to saying they shouldn't strike at all. He's still the wrong man to be leading Labour though. His brother would have had a field day with the sorry coalition, but from Ed it's like 'being savaged by a sheep'.
  25. Because their members terms are being changed. I don't really get your argument there. I am getting pretty peeved at the demonising of public sector workers. Suits the Tories agenda, but a heck of a lot of it is without foundation.
