I remember someone posting that they can't go into administration because they have a Winding Up Order against them. Can someone confirm this. I can't believe they can simply go into administration, wipe the slate clean, and carry on. Why would Gaydamak and Chanrai agree to this? They would lose their investment and be left with a load of land they couldn't develop because there would still be a crap football team and 6000 fans there.

What, apart from me?

If the election was in the bag for the Tories they wouldn't be stooping so low as this. Maybe there is hope, and we won't have to put up with Cameron and his toffy-nosed tw*ts running the country.
-
Look on the bright side though, at least your mouth didn't get all messy.
-
They're still f*cked, don't even own their ground anymore, and Storrie is bullsh*tting over some South African takeover. And on the pitch they were really unlucky to concede an injury time winner at home to Stoke. Sometimes I really love football.

Does today's excellent performance and result prove..

I liked it when he said none of this was down to his missus. No sh*t Sherlock. Therapy, for being led around by your c*ck? Do me a favour, what a load of sh*t.

I remember that strike as well. It went on for 14 weeks, and ended after a court case in which the judge came down firmly on the side of the workers. He also threatened the MD/port boss with contempt of court when he heard his reaction to the verdict.

FOOTBALL, not cage fighting. You retard.

All these idiots are brave and hard in big groups, when they know that the police won't actually let much happen. I'll bet they all wouldn't be so brave if it was 1 on 1 with nobody around. I'd fancy my chances against 99% of them, but I am not brainless enough to go to a football match for a fight. To everyone involved on both sides - d*ckheads the lot of you. SFC don't need you.
-
It's rubbish. The only strike breakers were from Pompey. My old man did flying picket duty a few times at Pompey. One time, a couple of coachloads of farmers were bussed in, and the police let them go at the blokes on the picket line. I don't think things went as the police had planned. The MD of Townsend Thoresen had his car overturned as well. Brilliant. Pompey, crap club, crap fans, crap dockers.
-
Hopefully the Pompey players will merely be going through the motions, not risking injury when their employer could be wound up in a weeks time. Maybe a few of their better players will get 'groin strains' and David James will have a 'back strain', after training today. I doubt it though.... think we'll lose by a couple of goals.

I know people moan about Mawhinney, but at least he exercises the rules. Don't you just wish he was in charge of the Premier League now.

I thought that a while ago. The club goes to the wall, and all of a sudden Gaydamak's land around the ground, as well as Chanrai's land (the ground itself), suddenly has worth for development potential. And they don't have to pay back any of the money they have siphoned from the club when it gets liquidated. We can only hope.

Do me a favour. F*ck off.

My Grandad was 19 when WWII broke out, and served from the off with the Royal Navy on Motor Torpedo Boats, I think around Italy. When I think about the difference between his early adult life and mine it brings home what we owe that generation.

Pardew took over the team too late. He didn't have much time to get a side together at the start of the season, we struggled, and people understood why. After the first ten games, if we were offered mid-table at the end of the season, a decent cup run and a trip to Wembley most of us would have been more than happy. Give the bloke a chance.

Council crack down on English Speaking taxi stickers
Wade Garrett replied to Huffton's topic in The Lounge
Cabbies should be able to speak English, and shouldn't have to ask you directions. If they can't do this they shouldn't have a taxi licence. I have never been asked directions by an English driver, but am asked all the time by others. This is not racist, this is fact. -
Could Gaydamak and Chanrai close the club down and use all the land to develop? This is my dream scenario. I know they are supposed to be sworn enemies, but is a bit coinicidental that they are both tied up with Pompey.

Sponging Champagne Socialist Denham ordered to repay £1,265
Wade Garrett replied to dune's topic in The Lounge
What is worse are the multi-millionaire Tories milking the system. You are talking about the Communist Party, not Labour. Labour are as much into wealth creation now as the Tories. John Denham is my local MP, he is a decent man, and was principled enough to stand down from the Cabinet over Iraq. If he was the 'snout in the trough' you say he is he would have stayed on and collected his ministerial pay. That he didn't suggests that he is not a money grabber. Pillock. -
To be fair, I love your 'Dunkirk Spirit'. Still want you to go to the wall though. No offense.
-
There were a fair few of us who took the 10 points on the chin and found the idea of getting them back based on a technicality very wrong. Still very much hoping we get a bye in the next round of the cup. Your football club is a disgrace.
-
Outrageous. I am sure there are people on here better in goal than you are, and better defenders (goalies think they're good on pitch, but they're not). I bet Pompey Online are having trials. Apparently Peter Storrie is good at them.
-
I don't think people shouldn't take for granted they are in the side. There should be trials. First the East and West Southampton trials, and then the final trials. Just like Southampton Schoolboys in the old days. Some of you giving yourself a place in the side might be sh*t for all I know.

Andy Gray. Always carping on about refs. Annoying b*stard.
