I don't remember that. My memory of Blair is him wiping the table with anyone the Tories put in front of him. Up to this point, both Cameron and Osbourne look like frightened rabbits staring at the headlights, in the televised debates. I don't think the country wants Blair Mk2, all smiles and spin in number ten. The Tories would have been better of electing David Davies as their leader. That said, I think the Liberals have peaked too early.

Does the Administrator have to pay for all debts incurred whilst he is at the club. I would imagine he is buying a tenner's worth of Euro Lottery tickets as we speak, whilst telling all and sundry that he is waiting until Friday night for possible new investment. Why haven't they been closed down yet? And is it likely to happen?

It is, sorry.

Genius. Continue with the negative campaigning just to highlight you haven't got any policies worth tuppence (big society = joke). It has never worked in the past and it won't now.

He was OK. Not side splitting but he made me laugh.

Has the TV debate been discussed at work?

To be fair, he wasn't chosen by PR people. He was chosen by a democratic vote. I thought they made a mistake and should have gone with David Davis. -
Clegg's popularity lets Labour stay as largest party

I admire your optimism, I do think you're a little mad though. -
Don't know too much about him, but the job seems a load of ****** to me. "The Football Development and Support Centre is an exciting new structure that will oversee four main areas - The Academy, Scouting, Sports Medicine and Equipment Procurement" Sports medicine - get a doctor with real expertise in. He doesn't need an unskilled manager to oversee him. The Academy, leave it to Dodd and co. It's not like we haven't had any youngsters coming through. Scouting - leave as is. Pardew has signed some cracking players and has been quoted as having a great network of scouts and contacts. Equipment Procurement! I hope he won't be buying fish tanks and eye gyms. This does seem to be a bit of a waste of money.

Anyway, about the Tory manifesto. After months and months of not telling anyone their policies, they come up with this document, which, frankly is an anti-climax and certainly hasn't gripped the nation. I don't know what they expected, as apparently the brains behind it all is Oliver Letwin.

They don't have a healthy core vote, otherwise they would still be in power! Nice to see a bit of squirming from the smug, who thought the election was a foregone conclusion. -
Going to see him tonight. Nice.

I suppose I'm right-wing on some issues and centre-left on others. I would say I'm on the right-wing of the Labour Party. I don't like the nannying, I don't agree with certain benefits being paid to people who won't work out of choice, I think our borders are policed very poorly, and we are letting in too many people at a time when our public services are creaking at the seams. I won't go on, but I would say I'm a bit of a mix. It would be fair to say I am very suspicious of the Tories, and the labour laws they would repeal.

Who are you calling a lefty! I disagree with parts of the Tory manifesto, so that makes me a lefty?

I still think the election could go either way. The Tories don't seem to be running away with it, and their manifesto is disappointing. They will be relying a lot on Murdoch's newspapers. The Sun, in particular, is slightly demented at the moment and making a fool of itself. Trevor Kavanagh is nuts. My gut reaction is the Tories will beat Labour, but may fall short of a majority. Out of the three parties so far, I am most impressed with the Lib campaign, although they won't get my vote. In Clegg, Cable and Huhne theyhave three very impressive campaigners. Maybe a hung Parliament wouldn't be a bad thing.

I think it's sensible not to be grilled by Paxo. Clever move by Clegg to speak to him while the election campaign is in its infancy, and will be largely forgotten by May 6th. Not such a good move to be ritually humiliated closer to the vote. I'm looking forward to the leaders debates.

It's a recipe for disaster. I like the claim that you can veto council tax rises (set by your democratically elected council). What a load of PR spin/bullsh*t from Mr PR Cameron.
-
John Denham, put principles before his career, is very approachable, and has given up a fair bit of time for a charity my wife works for. Mike Han**** - very good speaker. Dennis Skinner Vince Cable James Purnell - hope he comes back. I always thought he was PM material.

The rich won't. They'll be getting away with loads of inheritance tax. My point really, is that Cameron stated that he was for the 'hard-working silent majority'. The fact that he is rimming my wallet twice, while giving tax-cuts to the rich suggests same old Tories to me. Labour have gone into detail. It was called the Budget.

We play a bit of hoofball away from home, when we should be imposing ourselves with our passing and power up front. Against Wycombe we looked very ordinary, and I wouldn't mind wagering that we play similar tactics away against similar opposition.
-
Dune, the reason we are in sh*t street, is because the Tory boys in the City and Wall Street are a load of chancing greedy bastards who have had to be bailed out by the taxpayers. Cameron gets in and I lose my child benefit, and will have to pay the extra 1% NI as I earn over £35k. Thanks for nothing. I suppose if my family had an estate worth millions I would be OK. So much for looking after the 'silent majority'.

I am a little confused by your comment. They yanks make yet another monumental ****-up, and this means that British voters shouldn't vote Labour? I can't quite see the link. -
No, do you have kids?

Well go and live there then. I would rather live in a country that at least tries to get scumbag dealers in prison.
