  1. It's funny how we can watch the same games and have vastly different views on certain players. I think Harding is very ordinary, and Mills hasn't looked the part whenever I've seen him play. Thatcher is a lot better than the pair of them.
  2. What if they have all the 'facts' at their disposal, and still come out on the sceptical side (based on 'facts). You strike me as a touch immature.
  3. I don't see it like that. Antonio does his share defensively, and Lallana is pretty lively in the tackle. The width would give us more space to play, and the pace would frighten teams to death.
  4. We'd never get into Europe with her in the side either.
  5. I am left leaning and I don't go along with all this climate change propoganda. Why the label. Cameron and the Tories are painting themselves as the party of the environment and they're not exactly left-wing are they. Unless you are telling me that they are lying - surely not.
  6. I think that a contributory factor to flooding in this country is more concrete (replacing the green stuff that can absorb water), an antiquated inadequte water system (the wonders of privatisation) and greedy developers being allowed to build on flood plains. You have a habit of labelling people ignorant for not agreeing with your point of view. Nice.
  7. And there's no chance of her marauding down the left wing. This is nearly as bad as when we got Clive Woodward and his non-league Brazilian coaching mate, but not quite.
  8. Tory cow, I hate her and didn't even know she played football. If she signs I may boycott. Pardew wants his head testing. This sounds like the sort of signing Rupert Lowe would have made.
  9. Play Antonio and Waigo down the flanks, Lallana in the middle, with someone holding alongside him (Hammond or Wotton). Thomas at RB, he is more defensive minded than James. Connolly and Lambert have to play. Create the chances for them and they will score a hatful. That means crossing from the byeline and not 40 yards out (ala James).
  10. I take it you studied at a polytechnic that has now been given 'University' status, after getting a few C's in your dumbed down A levels.
  11. I'm not a worried resident. I don't really care whether a student goes on the razzle or not, and I know that they are not all 'louts'. I have got a pair, thank you very much. You make a decent point (apart from the moron bit, that sounds a bit supercilious to me). Southampton has a top university whose graduates will benefit the country for years to come. Solent has a university that will benefit McDonalds for years to come.
  12. Well look in yesterday's Echo, when the students had their say. They were studying, and I kid you not: English and screenwriting Media International Tourism Screenwriting Fashion and culture Sports Development Record production Performance Fashion styling Music production English and film. Now call me an ignorant moron, you f*ckwit.
  13. Leave them alone. They're working very hard at their polytechnic on their media studies courses. They will be the backbone of our country in years to come. Think how many experts in Coronation Street there will be.
  14. Too many decent players had shockers today. Trotman, Jaidi, Morgan, Hammond were woeful. We had an off day. We're not Chelsea, get over it and get off the manager's back. The players let us down today not Pardew. I would look at playing Antonio and Waigo (second consecutive sub appearance when he's come on and looked really dangerous) down the flanks, and Lallana in the middle with Hammond holding. Having a pop at Lambert or Connolly today is a bit out of order. They were mostly fed on scraps, and Connolly isn't going to beat a 6 foot centre-back in the air.
  15. Antonio is a bit of a rough diamond. I thought Waigo played well when he came on tonight. I think we dominated the match, without really breaking into a sweat. How the ref didn't give us a penalty in the first half I'll never know.
  16. Scientists are paid by people with a vested interest to 'prove' things that are useful to their interests. Interesting that just a few short years ago it was 'global warming' and the scientists had studied everything from the last few thousand years to come to this conclusion. Fair enough you may think, they must know their onions. Why is it now 'climate change'? Because heaven forbid, they were wrong. Perish the thought.
  17. Whichever way you look at it, it's either morally bankrupt or financially bankrupt. It would be interesting to see what sort of response Gartside gets. Hopefully the big f*ck off.
  18. So apart from back to back promotions and working with a small budget what has he done? Well there's the aquaduct....
  19. I think Gartside's plan would be that the revenue would be shared by all the teams in Prem 1 and Prem 2. Why not do this now Phil, you greedy c*nt.
  20. Your best post ever Nineteen. The Independent wrote a piece some time ago about the background behind the Sun's support for the Tories. Murdoch's son was heavily involved, along with a lot of old buddies from the 'Notting Hill' set. I stopped buying the Sun after reading how this all came about. This only confirms to me what a rubbish rag it is. And don't get me started on Trevor Kavanagh, what an idiot.
  21. I don't think that this would be sanctioned by UEFA. If the Premier League went against UEFA on this our clubs would probably be banned from Europe, maybe even our national side would be banned as well. I hope it won't happen. It's just odious turds like Gartside who want to prevent his club from ever being banished to the lower leagues when his club is eventually skint. I can't see Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea or Man City agreeing to this, why would they? It would make it more difficult to qualify for Europe. I hope Platini is quick to nip this sh*te in the bud.
  22. Couldn't really give a f*ck where his office is.
  23. Spot on. I would stop shops opening on any Sunday and Boxing Day full stop but that is another argument.
  24. Spoken like a true ignoramus.
  25. I would think the postal staff would be happy to do this if they were as overpaid as you are.
