  1. If it was him they would surely have announced it by now. Either it never was him, or we wanted him and he turned it down, or he accepted the job but Cortese got cold feet.
  2. Nothing that Reed has done in his career suggests that he should hold a top post at any football club. If the article is true there is no way in the world a 'big name' manager would waste their time with us. Can you imagine Ferguson, Wenger, Moyes, Hughes or even Pulis tolerating such a situation?
  3. Perhaps you've posted in good faith, but Shearer is very much his own man, and I couldn't see him working with Keegan in a managerial role.
  4. This is getting f*cking boring now. For f*cks sake Mr Cortese, put us out of our misery. It's not like the team don't need a decent boss, Saturday should have told you that. Just get the new man in, it's getting ridiculous now. Really f*cking fed up.
  5. Nick doesn't repair photocopiers does he? Was he Xerox trained?
  6. Copacabana - Barry BigNose.
  7. Try a blunt disposable Bic.
  8. So you think you know it's O'Neill, but you've covered yourself with the last bit?
  9. I didn't like Pardew's dress sense. The black shirt with the dark suit and no tie was just a fashion roadcrash.
  10. Adkins isn't going to have wouldn't have the impact of lifting the club and getting people back to St Marys (18k on Saturday). He also, for all his achievements, has a relegation on his CV. We need stability and the club needs a lift. Giving the job to someone who has only managed a smallish club would be a big gamble on Cortese's part in my humble opinion.
  11. agreed, it was more like a 4-4-1-1.
  12. ...
  13. I have no wish to be PM'd. I've come to the conclusion that no-one, not even patred knows who the manager is. They have all been fed bullsh*t that they think is true, and they think that they are high enough up the food chain to have a right to know. Hence all the cloak and dagger bullsh*t. Please don't PM me. I'm not interested in your tittle tattle. I was told last night that Leonardo was at St Marys last Saturday while the team was in Bristol. It came from someone who was at the ground on business. Personally, I think it's a case of mistaken identity, but there you go, I'll share the info I have with you and you can make your own minds up. Some people, probably me included, are right up their own arses.
  14. Personally, I couldn't give a toss about what sportsman do in their spare time. Although I find it hypocritical of them to cheat on their wives whilst sponsorships etc. dictate they should be clean family men (Tiger Woods, Rooney). I would have more respect if they just came out and said 'I'm not sorry, it's just that I'm famous and loaded and am going to **** what I can while I can'. I have far more respect for George Best, because he actually admitted his shortcomings with the opposite sex and didn't apologise to the 'public' for them.
  15. To quote Donald Rumsfeld: 'Some of the knows know, most of the knows don't know, and some of the don't knows know. Most of the don't knows don't know and some of the knows know they don't know, just like the don't knows know they don't know, and don't really think that any of the knows know f*ck all'.
  16. Top post Sir.
  17. in a particular role. Why don't you read the posts properly.
  18. Brian Kidd and Sammy Lee do have top coaching job....Les Reed hasn't. FWIW, I think Les Reed is an outstanding appointment to oversee the Academy structure. That is where his strengths lie.
  19. Not really. Reed has had his chance at the top level and was spat out. Pardew applied for the Saints job because he was out of work. Lambert signed for us to further his career - there was no interest from the Premier, and Lallana will play football at the top level one day.
  20. I'm being teased more today than I am with the missus at hide the sausage time.
  21. Reed has been found wanting whenever he has operated at the top level of the game. If the main attribute on his CV os that he devised the Pro Licence, then big deal. Most top pro's, or coaches could have done that. Let's face it, if his coaching and work at the FA was so good, chances are he would be working at a top Premiership club.
  22. I was hoping that a new boss would be appointed today, so that he can hit the ground running at Staplewood tomorrow morning. We don't really have the luxury of time, the team need a combination of a lift and a kick up the arse.
  23. I thought Fonte was bullied by their big centre-forward, and Martin handled him better when he had the chance (ie. he went right through him, and wasn't intimidated).
  24. Reed failed in his only managerial job, didn't really play the game professionally, and get a leg up in the FA coaching nippers (which is what he should do here). Leonardo didn't want to be a manager in the first place and lasted 5 minutes. Still, fair play to you for your reasoned assessment of my post, and your brave cyber-warrior put-down. Pillock.
  25. F*ck Reed. I suspect he's got way too much power for a man who has achieved the square root of f*ck all in the game. No wow factor from me for Leonardo, it would be a disaster.
