  1. You're talking out of your backside. It doesn't even compare to the brilliant 'Keeping Up Appearances'.
  2. I like the 'The Office', but it's no 'The Brittas Empire'.
  3. I'd rather have Einstein Agogo.
  4. I am no more qualified than you! It's just my opinion that Lallana is better off behind the front 2, then we had Gillet and Hammond to do the donkey work in midfield with Morgan with them. I think that would work better than a 4-4-2 with no real wingers. Just my opinion, and I don't think Pardew's a muppet.
  5. I agree with your last comment, but what you say about the docks isn't accurate at all. OK they did strike, I remember my dad being on strike for 14 weeks, but for good reason. On that occasion, the judge came firmly down on the side of the workers, and it was the management who had broken the law (this was 1984ish, when union bashing was in its golden era). To say it was all the fault of the workers, and that they somehow stopped the use of improving technology is wrong. Ask them yourselves, and they will tell you that the National Dock Labour Scheme was outdated and needed to be replaced.
  6. I don't see the point of moaning about referees. It's not the clever way to get them on your side. Brian Clough refused to criticise referees, and wouldn't let his players argue with them. It's a shame that more do not follow his lead. Roy Keane has had a shocking start to his Ipswich career. He doesn't even try to mask his teams failings. He simply tells some of them that enough is enough, they aren't good enough, and won't play for him again. Pardew should be doing the same. Refs should be accountable, but so should managers. In my opinion, Pardew was crap against Brentford. His decision to start Paterson was lamentable. His insistence on playing Lallana wide in a 4-4-2, when we have the players to play a 4-3-3 system is poor. How would he have felt if the ref said this to the TV cameras after the game. We all make mistakes Alan, you included. Get over it.
  7. I hope he doesn't expect some sort of deal where we pay some of his wages to play elsewhere. I'd rather keep him.
  8. He lived here for most of his young life and even had an apprenticeship at Harland and Wolfe. His mum had a shop in Shirley. He insisted on a red fez because it was Saints. He was once asked to wear a blue one and refused saying he didn't 'want to look like that Pompey Scum'.
  9. I am chuffed for Pompey that they have an Arabian photocopier salesman as their new owner. I've heard Sheikh Al BarryBriefcase is the money behind the operation.
  10. Who gives a toss about Pompey? They aren't Saints so I couldn't care less if they are owned by the Arabian Marc Jackson.
  11. I come from decent council estate stock I'll have you know.
  12. Get your brown wings then bin her.
  13. So are you saying that a World Cup in another country won't be over-commercialised, will be played in old stadiums, have cheaper tickets and little hype?
  14. You can be left leaning without being tolerant of this sort of scum, mass immigration or the loss of our national identity. I am anyway.
  15. Did he die? You make a good point though. I'll bet the Southampton 'Yoof' enjoyed watching last nights trouble as it gives them something to aspire to. They are the same sort of scum as the idiots at Upton Park.
  16. Every cloud. At least it wasn't an innocent bystander. Scum, the lot of them. Whoever are drawn against West Ham in the next round should get a bye. Heavy-handed punishments for all involved is necessary in order to nip this bullsh*t in the bud. Don't really see how it should affect our World Cup bid. Hooliganism is far worse across the continent, and South Africa is the murder capital of the world.
  17. I bet you still advocate the leggy swing popularised in the 60's by Nicklaus, hickory shafts, and keeping your head down. Move on with the times Grandad.
  18. I bet you're not even a proper PGA pro. Are you one of those that paid the money to go on a 2 day course (for a large fee), and came out the other side as a 'qualified coach'? I would imagine the extent of your wisdom is to tell people to 'keep your head down'. Forgive me if I don't beat your door down for a lesson.
  19. Stop the benefits of the scum parents. That'll learn them. We should stop trying to 'understand' these scumbags (I'm talking about the parents here), and start beating them with a big stick (metaphorically).
  20. I'd love a golf lesson from you. Do you stand 100 feet away and shout 'you're throwing your shoulder at the top you f*cking idiot'
  21. Are your Addidas Chilies fake Adidas Chilies?
  22. Sports jacket, cravat and slacks?
  23. He's not a wide player and doesn't have any of the attributes needed to play wide. No pace, and can't get down the line. James was pi**ing me off yesterday as well, crossing from 45 yards out is garbage. We need proper wingers who will hang on the touchline and frighten defenders with pace. Lallana is not the answer in that position. It's a round hole and square pegs scenario.
  24. Good point well made FF.
  25. Trotman and Harding played well. Morgan was ok in the middle, I didn't think that much of Hammond - he gave the ball away cheaply far too often. How Paterson got a start with Saga and Rasiak on the bench I will never know. He isn't good enough - poor touch, poor finisher, I don't know what he offers. Lambert started well but faded in the second half. To be fair he was doing the work of two strikers and two wingers in the first half. Saga gave his all, and I think Rasiak played well when he came on. Their situations need to be resolved - I hope we keep them both. Mellis was very poor, Lallana is didn't play well but he isn't a winger. Thompson didn't do much, but I reckon he would be better with Murty behind him. The right flank was vulnerable all game and James was found wanting defensively. I still can't understand Paterson starting, it's doing my head in.
