Yeh, really intimidating. Especially when the masses don’t turn up as they’ve had enough
-
Still waiting on the 5 Pledges though
-
Orsic ?? How do you go from a WC semi-final, and scoring in the CL regularly to this ? We don’t sign shit players, we make them. It’s the Southampton way#

Thought about this tonight. Last year, 5th Round FA Cup we peaked, beat West Ham after a good run of form. Rapid and continuing decline since.

That and a diving header 3” off the ground. what the hell was he thinking or trying ???
-
It’s not a great shock really is it ? that’s the saddest thing about it
-
Thank you Rasmus, you cunt.

Is the honeymoon period now officially over ?
-
Hope he acts soon then to stop a continued plummet next season

Come on Whitey, you’re a better man than that. Let them enjoy it. Number of things to get wound up about after that match, but not the supporters of a L2 club. As for not getting close to scoring, well think we all know about that.

Yes, couple of divisions to go yet. Not yet. What’s the Quo lyrics, Down, Down, deeper and down …

BOLLOCKS, BOLLOCKS, BOLLOCKS ....

Obviously resting him. Thought we'd utilise our EPL quality squad against L2 opposition

I think Tranmere takes the biscuit to be honest. Bearing in mind we had a good side then and had a 3-0 lead the result was unforgiveable . Watford 7-0 ranks pretty highly in the shocking stakes.

For me, his best position was at Parkhead.
-
Have to wonder, but hopefully he'll come good. I thought he caused more problems and a bit of panic the other week against Wolves which doesn't happen with Adams.

Relegation - What two teams do we take with us
Badger replied to Lee On Solent Saint's topic in The Saints
Having just looked it up, Everton are home to Bournemouth on the last day. Biggest fear, is Liverpool beating us on the last day, to keep Everton up leading to the inevitable media wankfest over Merseyside , special fans, special rivalry and all that. -
And would he have been less mobile for their goal yesterday if he'd been on two crutches ?
-
I think the Benitez suggestion is out of the question, as manager, and even more so for a Hd of Football Operations role, isn't this the position Jason Willcox was due to be taking ? At board level, I've been critical of Semmens, especially for last summer's recruitment, but he's been completely eclipsed by Ankersen's handling since.

If I remember, we wanted Maddison from Norwich (£22m) but when he chose Leicester, our next MF signing was Ely. Hard to believe there wasn't anyone 'in between' their standards. As for the original subject of Ely, he's a waste of space, weak, feeble, easily knocked off the ball, and not quick enough by foot or of thinking. Sad reflection of the state of our squad , despite what we've spent the last two windows, that he's a regular starter.

I'm not sure Saints appointing Gracia would have been met with widespread approval, especially on here. Selles has certainly unified the fans, and comes across very well.

Not so much a defector, as one we rejected, but article on Kevin Danso: https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2023/02/21/southampton-made-huge-mistake-letting-one-of-europes-best-kevin-danso-go/

In the event of stripes then totally agree.

Will tonight go down as another "one of those special European nights at Anfield" ?
