My recollection also. I think he brought in a group of ex-Liverpool hacks, all of whom p!ssed off after Souness had thrown a wobbly, then resigned from the poolside whilst on holiday.

I've looked again, and can confirm it is definitely not Mick Channon, MLT, Princess Anne, or Lucy Pinder. -
Is that the title of his autobiography ?
-
on the contrary, he managed to con his way into a mega-paid job where he attended the "workplace" once a week. The real 'daft bastard' is the one who fell for his ridiculous vision and sanctioned putting him/both of them on the payroll.

Anthony Pulis ? -
Or it could be the difference between automatic and play offs, depending how the season pans out. As for the strength in depth issue - often mentioned on here- yes, I follow the argument, but do you think other clubs have greater playing resources available to them in this division ? West Ham aside, I doubt many clubs in the promotion mix will.
-
Except that we might be forced to use him, although I assume we have other GK's in the Academy squads who might prove more reliable.
-
I agree that a proven CB,and a striker are the immediate areas to add to, but the right back position remains a concern to me. I'm not convinced that either FR or DB are up to the standard of the rest of the team, and this remains an area of weakness ( especially as they get minimal 'protection' from the attack minded wide midfielders).

Yes, if he is drawing wages from the club then we should all care. That money could be better spent elsewhere, or given to a worthwhile charity...the club might even offset it against tax. As a serious point though, can we invoke the "emergency loan" for a GK if at the time we still have a third choice fit and available to us ?
-
Agree, although with the strength of our squad, there is no guarentee they would lose!
-
Gorkss, yes agreed. Beckford on the other hand was regarded as a sulking bastard at Leeds, and I can't see him keeping the harmony in the squad - and momentum- going, quite the contrary.
-
Has Vossen moved yet ? Although probably out of our reach.

The first part of your post is a worrying statistic, and in the past we know how Saints would have folded in these circumstances. The current squad however seem to have a greater mental toughness about them than I can remember for years so providing that holds firm we should be alright. As for Sven, well I recall we were the 'final straw' for one previous England manager some years ago so perhaps we can repeat this, although I don't have any particular dislike of Sven. Oh, and our next league match is at home to 'Wally with the brolly', so perhaps we can see that overrated tw^t under more pressure. (But lets be careful what we wish for here, as we don't want to be responsible for either Leicester or Forest bringing Martin O'Neill into this division too soon).

Yes, the Buckinghamshire Michael Owen.

I looked on a Burnley forum last night to see if any 'snippets' on there but nothing substantial. Two things on there though of interest, several of their fans thought Rodriguiz looked lethargic and disinterested yesterday at home to Cardiff, so conclude "he must want out", and a couple of their 'ITK'ers' think a bid from Newcastle (£6-£8m suggested) is 'on the table'.

I was fortunate to be at all three matches, incl KK's. The KK goal is a personal favourite of mine. Of the other two, DW's was a better team goal with brilliance from Frankie Wortho and Mark Dennis, but Delap's is a bit more acrobatic and have more venom in the shot. So Delap of the two. Great clip though, demonstrating that Mark Dennis,on form, was the greatest ever left back we've had in my 40+ years of watching Saints.

How reliable is your source?

Had a look at a Burnley forum earlier. Not only are they disappointed that Fox has left, but concerned that Rodriguez will be next, and apparentlt "Eddie..Eddie...Eddie" is knobbed off by the board selling his players.
