  1. Would be good, but without reversing the colours in my view. If yellow and blue stripes, then again prefer navy blue to the royal blue as showm in someone's mock up above. Last night on the kit thread someone suggested yellow and black was due for a return, which might give some interesting alternatives.Whatever it is, I hope it is not just a yellow shirt, with break of royal blue by sash or such, and blue/yellow shorts, a combination that has been done to death.
  2. Bennett has signed for Cheltenham. Don't know what NC and NA are playing at letting him slip the net.
  3. Average, and will wait till I see it on Saturday to form my view but initial observations: - collar looks crap - white sleeves, different but not inspiring, especially on the long sleeve version - socks, its as well that these are not also just white, and the red does not look bad,but a little too Sunderland -shorts, no problem with these, but like others suggestion of perhaps a navy blue .
  4. Agree on collar. Away kit - like your suggestion, or black and yellow
  5. I only remember our away shirt being described as amber, whereas Wolves were old gold as you say. I seem to recall our amber was not as orange/bright as the Wolves shirt but my memory after 40 years on may not be totally reliable.
  6. But its unlikely to be an exact copy of another teams strip isn't it ?
  7. That seems a typical trait of any winger though, can you name me one who does not ?
  8. Individually they are the most talented four available, but depends if and how they gel as a unit.Somehow I think either Hammond or Chaplow will add more to the midfield four, than they individually bring (if that makes sense).
  9. Don't let Gary Glitter read that,he'll think its a bargain.
  10. Great..back to the Alehouse !
  11. In addition to the away kit: We can also start threads either eulogising the new kit, or bemoaning the fact that after two months of farting around it is a major disappointment. I am already preparing a "it's not as good as this effort by Gecko.." , or "its okay but I'd prefer this by Gecko.." , closely followed by "it's better than we would have had under Lowe/Wilde, SISU might have had..." , and "I'm looking forward to spilling some of our best catering in the country down the front, whilst p1ssed in the concourse on Saturday..".
  12. I thought it was on 21st, Thursday, but that may be available for sale rather than unveiled. Secondly, don't worry about putting the topic to rest, as we can then start our way towards thirty pages on the away kit.
  13. As in he does not appear to play in any league (from posters on the other thread , and a Google search, reveal).
  14. Ipswich meant to be bidding £800,000
  15. Agree that Jaidi,on form and fit, is perfect for the year ahead although stil think he will need resting . As for Martin,I think he could be the aggressive CB we need along Fonte, but he will only start to assert himself once more experienced.
  16. Perhaps we will have a graphic of Tom Finney set out in one of our stands and they will have Mills. Finney's 'mural' is fairly static but still quicker off the blocks than the lump of lard that passes as Mellor.
  17. and together as one
  18. Richard Fraser's son
  19. Our superior catering simply did not offer mushy peas.

Don't suppose they are taking Pulis as well are they ? And if they need a GK then there's always Tommy Nofingers. Although underestimated on here I recall reading that Tottenham did not really want to let him go.
  21. Why the fascination and speculation on here for white sleeves ?
  22. This was widely suggested when he left Bournemoth, but we of course were penniless at the time. I've no doubt he might still like to relaunch his career here, but do Saints share this dream enough to try and sort something out ?
